    The effect of the selective laser melting mode on second phases precipitation in 316L steel during subsequent heat treatment

    The object of the study was 316L steel obtained by the method of selective laser melting (SLM). The structure of 316L steel was investigated after different SLM modes. The effect of different SLM modes on the second phases precipitation after heat treatment was studied. It is revealed that the fraction of precipitates of the χ-phase correlates with the energy density of the laser beam during SLM. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved

    Identification of the second phases formed in VDM® alloy C-4

    The electrochemical extraction of the second phase in the VDM® alloy C-4 alloy has been studied by transmission and scanning microscopy, as well as by X-ray phase analysis. It was found that annealing, which consists in heating up to 850 ℃ with further holding for 32 hours and cooling in a furnace, leads to the precipitation of a second phase in VDM® alloy C-4 alloy. It can lead to embrittlement and a general decrease in the corrosion resistance of the alloy. The precipitation of the anode deposit (the second phase in the samples of the VDM® alloy C-4 alloy after annealing) and its identification was carried out by the methods indicated above. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing.     Effect of Electronic Beam Melting Mode on the Structure of Inconel 718 Alloy

    Влияние различных режимов электронно-лучевого сплавления (ЭЛС) на структуру сплава Inconel 718 было изучено с помощью просвечивающей и растровой электронной микроскопии, а также рентгеноструктурного фазового анализа. Установлено, что режим электронно-лучевого сплавления влияет на параметры структуры сплава Inconel 718. Определён фазовый состав сплава после разных режимов ЭЛС. Показано, что твердость сплава Inconel 718 коррелирует с плотностью энергии режима ЭЛС.The effect of various modes of electronic beam melting (EBM) on the structure of the Inconel 718 alloy was studied using transmission and scanning electron microscopy, as well as X-ray phase analysis. It is established that the mode of electronic beam melting affects the parameters of the structure of the Inconel 718 alloy. The phase composition of the alloy after different modes of ELS is determined. It is shown that the hardness of the Inconel 718 alloy correlates with the energy density of the ELS mode

    Samples of low-carbon pipe steel 08G2B after control rolling, normalization and quenching were investigated. The kinetics of the austenite formation under conditions of continuous heating with rate 90 оС/с and during isothermal soaking in the inter-critical temperature range were analyzed. The critical points Ac1 and Ac3, the activation energy of the austenite formation have been determined.В работе исследованы образцы низкоуглеродистой трубной стали 08Г2Б после контролируемой прокатки, нормализации и закалки.     В статье приведен обзор влияния типа межкристаллитных границ на протекание межкристаллитной коррозии в никелевом жаропрочном сплаве ХН62М в расплаве солей LiCl-KCl. Проанализировано влияние термообработки и деформации на структуру сплава ХН62М, на количество специальных границ и их коррозионную стойкость. Показано, что после коррозионных испытаний в среде солей LiCl-KCl при 650 ℃ в течение 100 часов выделяются частицы второй фазы по границам зерен с повышенным содержанием в ней Mo. Были выявлены зависимости изменения количества растравившихся границ и скорости коррозии от количества границ специального типа.The article provides an overview of the effect of the type of intercrystalline boundaries on the occurrence of intercrystalline corrosion in the nickel heat-resistant alloy KHN62M in the melt of LiCl-KCl salts. The influence of heat treatment and deformation on the structure of the KHN62M alloy, on the number of special boundaries and their corrosion resistance is analyzed. It is shown that after corrosion tests in the medium of LiCl-KCl salts at 650 ℃, particles of the second phase are released along the grain boundaries with an increased Mo content in it for 100 hours. The dependences of the change in the number of strained boundaries and the rate of corrosion on the number of boundaries of a special type were revealed

    The corrosion resistance of silicon carbide obtained by hot pressing (HP SiC), sintering (SSiC) and reaction sintering (SiSiC) methods was investigated. Specimens were exposed in fused FLiNaK mixture, containing UF4, CeF3, NdF3, Te.
