Bose-Einstein Correlations in e+e- -> W+W- at a Linear Collider
We show that the most popular method to simulate Bose-Einstein (BE)
interference effects predicts negligible correlations between identical pions
originating from the hadronic decay of different W's produced in e+e- -> W+W-
-> 4 jets at typical linear collider energies.Comment: 5 pages, 2 eps figures, Proccedings of the Workshop "Physics Studies

Radial excitations of Q-balls, and their D-term
We study the structure of the energy-momentum tensor of radial excitations of
Q-balls in scalar field theories with U(1) symmetry. The obtained numerical
results for the excitations allow us to study in detail
patterns how the solutions behave with N. We show that although the fields and
energy-momentum tensor densities exhibit a remarkable degree of complexity, the
properties of the solutions scale with N with great regularity. This is to best
of our knowledge the first study of the D-term d1 for excited states, and we
demonstrate that it is negative --- in agreement with results from literature
on the d1 of ground state particles.Comment: 11 pages, 12 figure
Nonlinearity of vacuum reggeons and exclusive diffractive production of vector mesons at HERA
The processes of exclusive photo- and electroproduction of vector mesons
(770), (1020) and (3096) at collision energies and transferred momenta squared are considered in
the framework of a phenomenological Regge-eikonal scheme with nonlinear Regge
trajectories in which their QCD asymptotic behavior is taken into account
explicitly. By comparison of available experimental data from ZEUS and H1
Collaborations with the model predictions it is demonstrated that corresponding
angular distributions and integrated cross-sections in the above-mentioned
kinematical range can be quantitatively described with use of two -even
vacuum Regge trajectories. These are the "soft" pomeron dominating the high
energy reactions without a hard scale and the "hard" pomeron giving an
essential contribution to photo- and electroproduction of heavy vector mesons
and deeply virtual electroproduction of light vector mesons.Comment: 25 pages, 12 figure
Multifractal Multiplicity Distribution in Bunching-Parameter Analysis
A new multiplicity distribution with multifractal properties which can be
used in high-energy physics and quantum optics is proposed. It may be
considered as a generalization of the negative-binomial distribution. We find
the structure of the generating function for such distribution and discuss its
properties.Comment: LaTex, 12 pages, cite.st
Small x Behavior of Parton Distributions from the Observed Froissart Energy Dependence of the Deep Inelastic Scattering Cross Section
We fit the reduced cross section for deep-inelastic electron scattering data
to a three parameter ln^2 s fit, A + beta ln^2 (s/s_0), where s= [Q^2/x] (1-x)
+ m^2, and Q^2 is the virtuality of the exchanged photon. Over a wide range in
Q^2 (0.11 < Q^2 < 1200 GeV^2) all of the fits satisfy the logarithmic energy
dependence of the Froissart bound. We can use these results to extrapolate to
very large energies and hence to very small values of Bjorken x -- well beyond
the range accessible experimentally. As Q^2 --> infinity, the structure
function F_2^p(x, Q^2) exhibits Bjorken scaling, within experimental errors. We
obtain new constraints on the behavior of quark and antiquark distribution
functions at small x.Comment: 10 pages, 2 figure
Selection and reconstruction of the top quarks in the all-hadronic decays at a Linear Collider
A method of reconstruction of the top quarks produced in the process E+E- ->
t\bar{t} -> 6 jets at a Linear Collider (LC) is proposed. The approach does not
involve a kinematic fit, as well as assumptions on the invariant masses of the
dijets originating from the decays of W bosons and, therefore, the method is
expected to be less sensitive to theoretical and experimental uncertainties on
the top-mass measurement than traditional reconstruction methods. For the first
time, the reconstruction of the top quarks was investigated using the full LC
detector simulation after taking into account the background arising from QCD
multi-jet production.Comment: 22 pages, including 13 figures and 3 table
