The present study is on decapod crustaceans found on the coast of G;ouml;kova Bay (the southeastern Aegean Sea). A total of 358 specimens belong to 51 species (17 carideans, 11 anomurans, 1 thalassinid, and 22 brachyurans) was collected during experimental benthos samplings in the area. The brachyuran crabs was dominant component of decapod assemblage in the area by a total of 22 species and an occurrence frequency of 43,13%. The caridean shrimp, Lysmata seticaudata (Risso, 1816) was most dominant species by dominance value of 19,83%.Gökova Körfezi (güneydoğu Ege Denizi) kıyıları dekapod krustaseleri. Mevcut çalışma Gökova Körfezi (güneydoğu Ege Denizi) kıyılarında bulunan dekapod krustaseler üzerinedir. Alandaki deneysel bentoz örneklemeleri sırasında toplam 51 türe (17 Caridea, 11 Anomura, 1 Thalassinidea, ve 22 Brachyura) ait 358 birey toplanmıştır. Brachyuran yengeçler toplam 22 tür ve %43,13’lük oluşum frekansıyla alandaki dekapod topluluğunun baskın parçasıydı. Caridean karides, Lysmata seticaudata (Risso, 1816) %19,83’lük baskınlık değeriyle en dominant türdü

The tanaid, Apseudopsis latreilli (Milne- Edwards, 1828) is a common crustacean species on the soft bottoms of the Mediterranean ecosystems and occurs in both clean and polluted environments. This study was aimed to determine the sensitive state of tanaid, A. latreillii to the environmental variables observed on the soft bottoms of the Dardanelles. A. latreillei abundance at the sites was analysed in comparision with the organic matter content in sediment and the environmental variables in the study area. A total of 1406 specimens of A. latreillii was recorded during the study. The highest dominance value (Di=30.37%) was for Kepez Harbour where the amount of organic matter was 25.50±12.09% in the sediment. The highest value of dominance according to the sampling seasons was 56.75% for Autumn 2008 (organic matter=21.7±7.99%). The highest sand rate (99.59%) in the sediment was found at the Eceabat sampling point. The highest positive correlation (r=0.349, P<0.05) was observed between gravel content (%) measured at the sites and total abundance (ind.0.09 m-2). © Published by Central Fisheries Research Institute (CFRI) Trabzon, Turkey

Peracarid Crustacea fauna of rocky communities in Turkish Aegean Sea coasts. This study focused on Crustacea fauna of rocky communities of Turkish Aegean Sea coasts. Samplings were carried out a total of 20 stations was chosen from the upperinfralittoral zone located between the northern toward southern in July and June 1995-1996. A total of 119 species and 3785 specimens belonging to Crustacea were recorded. In the study area, Sphaeroma serratum was the highest dominance value with up to 400 specimens (%10.57), followed by Pisidia bluteliwith 319 specimens (%8.43), Ampithoe ramond/with 279 specimens (%7.29) and Maera hamigera with 158 specimens. Among the species identified, Maera hamigera ve Stenothoe gallensis are lessepsian species.Bu çalışmada Türkiye'nin Ege Denizi kıyıları kayalık kommunitelerinin krustase faunası incelenmiştir. 1995 ve 1996 yıllarının Haziran ve Temmuz aylarında Kuzey'den Güneye doğru seçilen 20 istasyonda 0-5 m derinliklerde örnekleme yapılmıştır. Krustase klasisine ait toplam 119 tür ve 3785 birey tespit edilmiştir. İstasyonlar genelinde en dominant tür 400 bireyle (%10.57) Isopod'lardan Sphaeroma serratum olup bunu sırasıyla 319 bireyle (%8.43) Decapod'lardan Pisidia bluteli, 279 bireyle (%7.29) Amphipod'lardan Ampithoe ramondi ve 158 bireyle yine Amphipod'lardan Elasmopus pociliimanus izlemektedir. Tespit edilen Amphipod türlerinden Maera hamigera ve Stenothoe gallensis lesepsiyan türlerdir
