Low-energy quasiparticle states at superconductor-CDW interfaces
Quasiparticle bound states are found theoretically on transparent interfaces
of d-wave superconductors (dSC) with charge density wave solids (CDW), as well
as s-wave superconductors (sSC) with d-density waves (DDW). These bound states
represent a combined effect of Andreev reflection from the superconducting side
and an unconventional quasiparticle Q-reflection from the density wave solid.
If the order parameter for a density wave state is much less than the Fermi
energy, bound states with almost zero energy take place for an arbitrary
orientation of symmetric interfaces. For larger values of the order parameter,
dispersionless zero-energy states are found only on (110) interfaces. Two
dispersive energy branches of subgap quasiparticle states are obtained for
(100) symmetric interfaces. Andreev low-energy bound states, taking place in
junctions with CDW or DDW interlayers, result in anomalous junction properties,
in particular, the low-temperature behavior of the Josephson critical current.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figure
Character of electron reflection at a normal metal-Peierls semiconductor boundary
The reflection of electrons incident from a normal metal on the boundary of
the metal with a quasi-one-dimensional conductor containing a charge-density
wave (CDW) is investigated theoretically. It is shown that the reflection is
not of an Andreev character, as it was suggested earlier, but rather of a Bragg
character. This is due to the fact that the CDW is actually an electronic
crystal, and its wave vector is a reciprocal lattice vector of the electronic
crystal. The ratio of the intensities of the standard and Bragg reflection
depends on the phase of the CDW.Comment: 9 pages, no figures, revte
Coherent transport in homojunction between excitonic insulator and semimetal
From the solution of a two-band model, we predict that the thermal and
electrical transport across the junction of a semimetal and an excitonic
insulator will exhibit high resistance behavior and low entropy production at
low temperatures, distinct from a junction of a semimetal and a normal
semiconductor. This phenomenon, ascribed to the dissipationless exciton flow
which dominates over the charge transport, is based on the much longer length
scale of the change of the effective interface potential for electron
scattering due to the coherence of the condensate than in the normal state.Comment: RevTeX 4.0, 13 pages, 5 b/w figures, 1 colour figure, 1 table.

Electron transport through a mesoscopic metal-CDW-metal junction
In this work we study the transport properties of a finite Peierls-Fr\"ohlich
dielectric with a charge density wave of the commensurate type. We show that at
low temperatures this problem can be mapped onto a problem of fractional charge
transport through a finite-length correlated dielectric, recently studied by
Ponomarenko and Nagaosa [Phys. Rev. Lett {\bf 81}, 2304 (1998)]. The
temperature dependence of conductance of the charge density wave junction is
presented for a wide range of temperatures.Comment: Latex, Revtex 3.0, 7 pages, 2 EPS figures (uses epfs
Local postinjection injurious subcutaneous tissue arising in injections solutions with different medicines osmotic activity
In 50 patients with subcutaneous injections of anesthesiology-resuscitation and 40 piglets vivarium solution 17 drugs with hypo-, iso-and giperosmotic activity features investigated rassasyvaniya postinjection medication infiltratis and formation of local lesions. It was found that when piercing interstitial tissues may bruise and bleeding due to injury to needle injection of blood vessels, and when medical infiltrirovanii tissue may be irritation, inflammation and necrosis due to excessive activity gyperosmotic solutions. Shown that the aggressiveness of local injection, and their damaging dehydrating effect may be due to excessive gyperosmotic due to the high total concentration of dissolved components, and to prevent local toxicity postinjection require dilution with water for injection of fluids until izoosmotic level.
PREVALENCE OF HIGH CARCINOGENIC RISK HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS IN THE REPUBLIC OF SAKHA (YAKUTIA), ST. PETERSBURG AND THE REPUBLIC OF KARELIA
Results of the study in three regions of the Russian Federation have shown widespread of high carcinogenic human papillomavirus among patients of dermatovenerological and gynecological profile. Detection of viral DNA in the material from the cervix and urethra ranged from 25,2 (Karelia) to 42,5 (Sakha Republic (Yakutia) per 100 examined patients. In all areas in 2010-2011 first place was occupied by 16-th virus genotype - from 11,5 (Sakha Republic (Yakutia) to 15,9 (St. Petersburg) per 100 patients. Prevalence of 11 other types differs. In the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) the second rank place was occupied by types 31 and. 51 (8,0 per 100 examined patients), in St. Petersburg - by 56 and 31 types (9,7 and. 7,6 per 100 patients). Age risk group contains patients of the age of 20-29 years. Information on circulating genotypes of the virus is a necessary part of surveillance to validate vaccination against human papillomavirus infection and evaluation of its efficiency
The aim of research is to study the possibility to increase the security of the internal jugular vein catheterization through the choice of access to puncture it, based on the values of its size.Materials and methods. Ultrasound scanning of IJV with the measurement of anteriorposterior and medial-lateral size was conducted among 20 healthy adult volunteers (control group) and 16 adult patients (observation group) who were treated in the Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Department.Results. It was found that the test values in the control group the anterior-posterior and medial-lateral vein is larger than 7 mm in both inhalation and exhalation. Under the conditions of hypovolemia (observation group) anterior-posterior size IJV inspiratory became less than 7 mm, and the medial-lateral vein size, despite its decrease retained value of more than 7 mm in most subjects. Among healthy volunteers it was found that the rotation of the ultrasonic sensor 45 ° is accompanied by increase in the average values of the medial-lateral vein size by more than 50%. This maneuver may be useful for patients whose value of the medial-lateral vein size inspiratory was less than 7 mm.Conclusion. The choice of central or lateral approach to puncture the internal jugular vein may be based on the actual values of the anterior-posterior and medial-lateral dimensions of it. The usage of lateral access for catheterization of internal jugular vein under ultrasound imaging can be more secure for patients with hypovolemia. The maneuver of ultrasonic sensor for 45° clockwise can be used to increase the size of the medial-lateral rotation.
Damage of peripheral veins upper limbs patients with combines trauma after catheterization at different types of catheters
If intravenous catheters 5 stamps in the subcutaneous veins of the upper limbs at 5 corpses studied especially mechanical damage to endothelium, the 42 patients department of anesthesiology-resuscitation investigated peculiarities of development of early post-injection phlebitis. It was found that at the time injection needle is cross-wound outer wall and longitudinal scratches the inner wall of the vein endothelium, but with intravenous catheter placement and removal of multiple elastic pointed end of the workshop on the venous wall in the endothelium of a ring-shaped zone of scarification, which is a cause of chronic local focus phlebitis. We show that the elastic catheters made of Teflon in particular (Vasofix, Romed), can have a significant effect on aggressive endothelium and cause local phlebitis in the first minutes and hours after the catheterization, thus requiring early removal of the veins.
