The Existence of Maslahah Mursalah as the Basis of Islamic Law Development in Indonesia
Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsepsi maslahah dalam wacana perkembangan hukum Islam. Selanjutnya, makalah ini menguraikan keberadaan masalah dan melihat lebih dalam ke dalam implementasi masalah sebagai dasar untuk pengembangan hukum Islam di Indonesia. Makalah ini adalah yuridis normatif menggunakan pendekatan doktrinal. Pada akhirnya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsepsi maslahah adalah metode penggalian hukum Islam yang didasarkan pada aspek manfaat dan kebaikan bagi manusia selama tidak bertentangan dengan norma syariah Islam. Selain itu, implementasi masalah sebagai dasar untuk penemuan hukum Islam di Indonesia tidak dapat disangkal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari daruratnya undang-undang atau peraturan di bawahnya yang mengatur berbagai aspek hukum Islam di Indonesia dalam menanggapi masalah kehidupan masyarakat sebagai dampak dari zaman dan teknologi
Impact of Metrical Prosody on Performances
This thesis is about testing Frederick Turner and Ernst Pöppel's claim that suggestmetrical poem tends to measure three seconds in terms of psychological limitwhen it is performed aloud. The objective of the study is to present metricalpoems as the new data to test their claim by using corpus analysis. Hereby, theresearcher uses publicly available 28 read-aloud poems from poetryoutloud.orgby using Praat to find the duration of each metrical line. The findings indicate thatthere are 18 English metrical poems with 314 lines in total, supported by metricaltree analysis, meanwhile there are 10 poems which are free verse and found that1) most lines have iamb feet, 2) 10 of the metrical pattern of the poems are iambicpentameter, whereas others are in diverse meter, 3) there is no psychological limiton the duration of metrical lines in performance as the researcher only founds62.73% that fit to the 3 seconds of temporal window based on the analysis in thecorpus of 314 metrical lines. Stomatal Conductance and Chlorophyll Characteristics and Their Relationship with Yield of Some Cocoa Clones Under Tectona Grandis, Leucaena SP., and Cassia Surattensis.
An optimum physiological condition will support high yield and quality of cocoa production. The research was aimed to study the effects of stomatal conductance and chlorophyll content related to cocoa production under three shade regimes.This research was conducted in Kaliwining Experimental Station, elevation of 45 m above sea level with D climate type based on Schmidt & Fergusson. Cocoa trees which were planted in 1994 at a spacing of 3 X 3 m were used in the study planted by using split plot design. The shade tree species were teak (Tectona grandis), krete (Cassiasurattensis), and lamtoro (Leucaena sp.) as the main plots, and cocoa clones of Sulawesi 01,Sulawesi 02, KKM 22 and KW 165 as sub plots. This study showed that there was interaction between cocoa clone and shade species for stomatal conductance where stomatal diffusive resistance of KKM 22 was the best under Leucaena sp.and Cassiasurattensis with the values of 1.38 and 1.34 s.cm -1, respectively. The highest chlorophyll content, stomatal index and transpiration values was under Leucaena sp. shade. There was positive correlation between chlorophyll content and transpiration with pod yield of cocoa. The highest yield and the lowest bean count wereobtainedon Sulawesi 01 clone under Leucaenasp. shade
The Effect of Problem Posing Approach Towards Students\u27 Mathematical Disposition, Critical & Creative Thinking Ability Based on School Level
The background of this study is the school of the new students of mathematics education courses came from grade high, medium and low. Here the writer wants to see how much influence of the school level on new students\u27 critical thinking skills and creative mathematical. The purpose of this study was to examine differences in new students\u27 mathematical disposition, critical & creative thinking ability through the mathematical problem posing approach based on school level (high, medium, low). The method used in this research is the experimental method, with only posttest design. The population of this study is all the students of mathematics education department in Cimahi; while the sample is selected randomly from one college. Then from this chosen college is taken two samples from random class. The instrument of essay test is used to measure students\u27 critical and mathematical creative thinking ability; while non-test instrument is questionnaire of attitude scale. The results show that: 1) based on the school level (high, medium, and low); there is difference in students\u27 mathematical critical thinking ability through problem posing approach. 2) based on the school level (high, medium, and low); there is difference in the students\u27 mathematical critical thinking ability through problem posing approach. 3) based on the school level (high, medium, and low); there is difference in students\u27 mathematical disposition
Benchmarking projective simulation in navigation problems
Projective simulation (PS) is a model for intelligent agents with a
deliberation capacity that is based on episodic memory. The model has been
shown to provide a flexible framework for constructing reinforcement-learning
agents, and it allows for quantum mechanical generalization, which leads to a
speed-up in deliberation time. PS agents have been applied successfully in the
context of complex skill learning in robotics, and in the design of
state-of-the-art quantum experiments. In this paper, we study the performance
of projective simulation in two benchmarking problems in navigation, namely the
grid world and the mountain car problem. The performance of PS is compared to
standard tabular reinforcement learning approaches, Q-learning and SARSA. Our
comparison demonstrates that the performance of PS and standard learning
approaches are qualitatively and quantitatively similar, while it is much
easier to choose optimal model parameters in case of projective simulation,
with a reduced computational effort of one to two orders of magnitude. Our
results show that the projective simulation model stands out for its simplicity
in terms of the number of model parameters, which makes it simple to set up the
learning agent in unknown task environments.Comment: 8 pages, 10 figure
Projective simulation with generalization
The ability to generalize is an important feature of any intelligent agent.
Not only because it may allow the agent to cope with large amounts of data, but
also because in some environments, an agent with no generalization capabilities
cannot learn. In this work we outline several criteria for generalization, and
present a dynamic and autonomous machinery that enables projective simulation
agents to meaningfully generalize. Projective simulation, a novel, physical
approach to artificial intelligence, was recently shown to perform well in
standard reinforcement learning problems, with applications in advanced
robotics as well as quantum experiments. Both the basic projective simulation
model and the presented generalization machinery are based on very simple
principles. This allows us to provide a full analytical analysis of the agent's
performance and to illustrate the benefit the agent gains by generalizing.
Specifically, we show that already in basic (but extreme) environments,
learning without generalization may be impossible, and demonstrate how the
presented generalization machinery enables the projective simulation agent to
