Socialism Will Win in Peaceful Economic Competition With Capitalism

The Great October Socialist Revolution opened a new era in the history of mankind, an era of the collapse of capitalism and of the establishment of a new order - communism. Characterizing the significance of the October Revolution, V. I. Lenin wrote: "⦠We are proud that it is our good fortune to begin the construction of a Soviet state, and thus begin a new epoch in world history, an epoch of the reign of a new class that is oppressed in all capitalist countries and is marching everywhere to a new life, to victory over the bourgeoisie, to the dictatorship of the proletariat, toward liberation of mankind from the yoke of capital, from imperialist wars."
