Kyrgyzstan Integration in Eurasian Union

The article is devoted to the issues of Kyrgyzstan integration in the Eurasian Union. At the meeting of the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Russia in July 2014, it was announced that the end of the integration process will be accelerated and Kyrgyzstan will become a member of the Union till the end of this year. However, rapid integration is connected with economic and political risks, and the voices of Eurasian Union critics became louder. In such circumstances, it becomes actual to analyze the priorities of the state members of the Eurasian Union and their external contractors which were formed over the past 20 years

Think Tanks in the EU: Comparative Analysis of European and American Exploratory Approaches

This article presents the comparative analysis of two most wide-spread in political science approaches to the study of the think tanks. The author offers a new multimodel approach to the definition of think tanks, based on national models, as opposed to the traditional paradigm that focuses attention on the universalization of the American experience. Multimodel approach allows us to identify the specific features of «think tanks» on the national and global level

Constitutional Democracy in Globalization Dimension: the Causes of Erosion and Prospects for Changes

The globalization process provoked the deep transformation of international law, political affairs and governance with controversial consequences. From the one hand, it stimulated the cosmopolitan project of global constitutionalism — transnational integration and unification of democratic standards; from the other hand, it resulted in fragmentation of international affairs, deterioration of constitutional democracy and the feeling of democracy deficits on national and international level of governance. Trying to balance the impact of these opposite trends, the author analyses positive and negative effects of globalization on constitutional development regarding such issues as transnational constitutionalization, democracy and national sovereignty, the changing place of multilayer constitutionalism, separation of powers, and system of global governance in the establishment of transnational constitutional democratic legitimacy
