Youth Lifestyle in a Moslem Magazine: a Reception Analysis on “Muslimah” Readers
This research is about whether or not Indonesian female youth Moslem are easily accepting religious values packaged with popular icons in a Moslem magazine. In this magazine, teenagers do not have to wear long, loose dark colored clothes, but they may wear light colored, tight and trendy dresses known as modern hijab. The main goal of this research is understanding female youths\u27 reception over Muslimah magazine applying Stuart Hall\u27s encoding and decoding approach. Primary data were collected by in-depth interview toward selected readers. The results are: (1) the ability of parents to control their teenagers\u27 religious behavior affect teenagers\u27 reading over Muslimah. (2) Informants who live with their parents younger than 20 years old, and have strong connection with religious peer group—tend to build negotiated readings. (3) Informants who do not depend on their parents—older than 20 years old, and have professional jobs—tend to rely more on mass media for seeking religious information more than their peer group or parents. Therefore, they tend to agree with Muslimah coverage which emphasized more on modern Moslem youth lifestyle than on its syariah (religious values)
Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa Berbasis Multiple Intelligence Pada Materi Enzim Siswa SMA
This research was conducted based on the problems that occurred, among others: LKS owned by students so far have not been able to train students to learn independently and low mastery of students on metabolic material. The purpose of this development research is to find out the development process and find out the results of the development of Multiple Intelligence Based Student Worksheets on the material of high school students\u27 enzymes. This study uses the 4D development model by Thiagarajan et al. which includes 4 stages: Define, design, design and Disseminate. Testing of Multiple Intelligence-Based LKS products, there are several aspects including media assessment, assessment of material and readability tests. Multiple Intelligence-based worksheet validation results have been obtained by media expert validators with a percentage of 96.43%, by the material expert validator with a percentage of 84.21% and the students\u27 readability trial results obtained a percentage of 65.33%. Based on the data that has been obtained for testing this Multiple Intelligence-Based LKS product, it is expected that in the future it can be tested on a large scale in the classroom for further development. Further development, can be done with classroom action training (PTK) or Experimental research
Implementasi Program Kali Bersih Di Kota Semarang Dalam Menanggulagipencemaran Lingkungan
Banyaknya kegiatan indutri dan masyarakat menyebabkan rusaknya ekosistem sungai dan mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat.Tujuan adanya Implementasi Program Kali Bersih (PROKASIH) di Kota Semarang untuk menangani pencemaran sungai yang semakin memburuk.Fokus penelitian ini adalah Program Kali Bersi di Kota Semarang.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelaksaan Program Kali Bersih di Kota Semarang.Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumen-dokumen yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan Program Kali Bersih di Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksaan program kali bersih sudah berjalan dengan baik meskipun hal ini masih terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi seperti, sikap masyarakat yang masih membuang sampah di sungai dan pembuangan limbah industri yang tidak sesuai dengan baku mutu air limbah. Sehingga hal ini perlu upaya yang keras dalam meningkatkan dukungan kelompok sasaran Program Kali Bersih dalam upaya pemberian sanksi yang tegas terhadap pencemaran lingkungan
Aedes Aegypti in Sekumpul Village (Martapura - District of Banjar, South Kalimantan) is Tolerant to Temephos
Since 1976, Temephos has been used as larvicide in Dengue Fever (DF) and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) control program. The long term use of this insecticide can cause resistance. This research aimed to know the susceptibility of Ae. aegyptito organophosphate insecticide-Temephos in DHF endemic area, Sekumpul District-Martapura, Kalimantan Selatan. This was a true experiment study with Post test only control group design. We tested the larvae bioassay based on WHO standard procedures (Susceptibility Test). Result showed that mortality rate of larvae Ae. aegypti at WHO diagnostic dosages (0,02 mg/L) in an in vitro mannerwas 95 %, meaning that larva Ae. aegypti in Sekumpul was tolerance to Temephos in an in vitro manner. According to the result, the use of Temephos is slill relevant as effective larvicide in Sekumpul dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever control program. Additionally, regular evaluation on Temephos effectivity is needed Temephos telah dipakai sebagai larvasida dalam pengendalian vektor demam dengue dan demam berdarah dengue sejak tahun 1976. Penggunaan insektisida dalam waktu yang lama dapat menyebabkan resistensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status kerentanan vektor demam berdarah dengue Ae. aegypti terhadap insektisida organosfosfat temephos di daerah endemis demam berdarah dengue Kelurahan Sekumpul Kota Martapura Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan rancangan eksperimen murni (true experiment) dengan desain penelitian Post test only control group design. Penelitian dilakukan dengan uji kerentanan terhadap larva berdasarkan standar WHO (Susceptibility Test). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa persentase kematian larva Ae. aegypti pada konsentrasi diagnosa WHO (0,02 mg/L) sebesar 95 %, artinya larva Ae. aegypti Kelurahan Sekumpul berada pada tahap toleran terhadap temephos secara in vitro, sehingga penaburan temephos masih dapat digunakan sebagai larvasida yang efektif dalam upaya pengendalian vektor demam dengue dan demam berdarah dengue jangka pendek di Kelurahan Sekumpul. Kecenderungan hasil juga mengimplikasikan perlunya evaluasi berkala terhadap efektifitas temephos di kemudian hari
Efektivitas Metode Pembelajaran Pemecahan Masalah (Problem Solving) Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Mataram Tahun Pembelajaran 2010/2011
: This research is aimed to analyze the effectiveness of problem solving methods to increase biological learning attainment of grade X student of Mataram High School in The Academic Year 2010/2011. This research used quasi experiment design. The population of the research was grade X students of Mataram Senior High School 3 in The Year 2010/2011. The samples of the research were 2 classes of 12 classes of grade X students. Student of the X10 was treated as experimental class and student of the X12 were untreated as control class. Simple random sampling was used to determined the sample, and observation sheet both of teacher and students were used as instrument in this research. Pretest was held to get information about students background knowledge of both classes and post test was held to know student achievement after given the treatment. The data of cognitive assessment was analysed using t- test polled variance according to difference between pretest and post test score. The result showed that everage score in experiment class was higher than the control class for both pretest or post test score. However, the t-test analyze suggest that the achievement of cognitive score was significantly in experimental class than the control class. The student assessment data of affective aspect was analyzed using score scale while psychomotoric aspect was analyzed using likert scale. The result shows that the experimental class achieved higher scale of category then the control class as this class achieved only medium and low category scale. This suggest that the application of problem solving learning methods was effective for increasing biological learning attainment of grade X student of Mataram Senior High School 3 in The Year of 2010/2011
