    Agrobacterium tumefaciens gene transfer to Casuarina glauca : a tropical nitrogen-fixing tree

    Transgenic calli of the tropical tree #Casuarina glauca were produced using #Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated gene transfer. Hypocotyls, cotyledons and epicotyls were excised from 30-60-day old #Casuarina seedlings and cocultivated with #Agrobacterium strain C58C1(pGV2260) containing the binary vector BIN19GUSINT. Transformed calli were selected on nutrient medium supplemented with 0,5 microM NAA, 2,5 microM BA and 50 mg/l kanamycin. Some of the factors influencing T-DNA transfer to #C. glauca$ explants were studied. Optimal transformation rates were obtained when explants from 45-day old seedlings were cocultivated for 3 days in the presence of 25 microM acetosyringone. Transgenic buds differentiated on 10% of the calli grown on transformed epicotyls. Evidence for genetic transformation was obtained by beta-glucuronidase assay, PCR and Southern hybridization.     Работа посвящена моделированию фазоповоротного устройства (ФПУ) в составе электроэнергетических систем (ЭЭС). В работе теоретически обоснована невозможность решения проблемы всережимного моделирования в реальном времени и на неограниченном интервале ФПУ в ЭЭС с использованием исключительно численного подхода моделирования. Сформулирована в соответствии комплексным походом концепция решения проблемы. В соответствии с предложенной концепцией разработана структура и принципы построения средств реализации всережимного моделирования ФПУ в ЭЭС.The work is devoted to simulation of phase-shifting transformer (PST) as part of electric power systems (EPS). The work theoretically substantiates the impossibility of solving the problem of all-mode simulation of PST in EPS in real time and on an unlimited time by means of only numerical simulation approach. The concept of solving the problem is formulated in accordance with a comprehensive approach. In accordance with the proposed concept, the structure and principles for constructing means for implementing all-mode PST simulation in EPS are developed

    Study on homogenization of synthetic GNSS-Retrieved IWV time series and its impact on trend estimates with autoregressive noise

    Póster presentado en: EGU General Assembly celebrada del 23 al 28 de abril de 2017 en Viena, Austria.A synthetic benchmark dataset of Integrated Water Vapour (IWV) was created within the activity of “Data homogenisation” of sub-working group WG3 of COST ES1206 Action. The benchmark dataset was created basing on the analysis of IWV differences retrieved by Global Positioning System (GPS) International GNSS Service (IGS) stations using European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecats (ECMWF) reanalysis data (ERA-Interim). Having analysed a set of 120 series of IWV differences (ERAI-GPS) derived for IGS stations, we delivered parameters of a number of gaps and breaks for every certain station. Moreover, we estimated values of trends, significant seasonalities and character of residuals when deterministic model was removed. We tested five different noise models and found that a combination of white and autoregressive processes of first order describes the stochastic part with a good accuracy. Basing on this analysis, we performed Monte Carlo simulations of 25 years long data with two different types of noise: white as well as combination of white and autoregressive processes. We also added few strictly defined offsets, creating three variants of synthetic dataset: easy, less complicated and fully complicated. The synthetic dataset we present was used as a benchmark to test various statistical tools in terms of homogenisation task. In this research, we assess the impact of the noise model, trend and gaps on the performance of statistical methods to detect simulated change points
