COMPARISON OF NEUTRON SPECTRUM MEASURED BY NUCLEAR PHOTO EMULSION METHOD WITH MONTE CARLO GEANT4 CODE

In this work, we have compared neutron energy spectrum measured by nuclear photo emulsion method in the “Energy plus Transmutation” collaboration in the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Russia to that produced by simulations using Geant4 toolkait and evaluated the agreement between theoretical and experimental results when bombarding the Pb/U setup with 1.5 GeV-energy protons. We used high energy Bertini, Binary, and Liege models in the toolkit for the simulations. For energy range of 3-25.3 MeV, the numbers of neutrons that entered and produced in the photoemulsion volume were 2954, 2075, and 1799 for Bertini, Binary, and Liege, respectively. The coincidence between the neutron energy spectra of simulation and experiment was very good

Secondary particle clusterization in carbon-carbon collision

    No full text
In the present work, using the hadron clustering algorithm, we have determined the mass of π0 mesons with excellent accuracy by restoring data of the neutral particles which are produced in the collisions of carbons and propane. It has observed that the value of cut parameter for the clustering depends on the primary energies. We have studied hadron cluster’s and its particle multiplicities, longitudinal rapidity, transverse momentum and the temperature feature of cluster decay. In the central region of the interaction, there is a cluster with high temperature produced by the collision process
