    this paper is to identify key prerequisites as well as enablers for inter-organisational knowledge management. Considering knowledge as being something bound to individuals, the authors are convinced that knolwedge itself cannot be managed unless the individual and his communication behaviour is put at the heart of the observations. Baseline of the underlying work is a first draft of a human-centred solution framework for KM in the Concurrent Enterprise. In the end the framework provides a theoretically based check-list to assess inter-organisational co-operations towards fullfilling the most relevant knowledge management prerequisite
