[์˜๋ฌธ] Background: Guided tissue regeneration (GTR) is an accepted therapeutic modality for the treatment of periodontal destructive lesions. However, incomplete regeneration or infection is often noted after GTR therapy. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the regenerative effects of chitosan membranes containing tetracycline (TC) applied to surgically created one-wall intrabony defects in beagle dogs.Meterial & method: 4ร—4 mm one-wall intrabony periodontal defects were surgically created bilaterally at the distal sides of the mandibular second premolars and mesial sides of the fourth premolars. The defects either received chitosan membrane (CH group), chitosan membrane soaked in 0.5 % TC solution for 10 minutes (CH-TC0.5 group), chitosan membrane soaked in 1.0 % TC solution for 10 minutes (CH-TC1.0 group) or flap operation only (surgical control). The animals were sacrificed 8 weeks after the experimental surgery and comparative histologic and histometric examinations were done.Result: The amount of junctional epithelium migration was 2.02ยฑ0.78 mm, 1.85ยฑ0.47 mm, 1.53ยฑ0.53 mm, and 1.72ยฑ0.15 mm in the surgical control group, CH group, CH-TC0.5 group, and CH-TC1.0 group respectively. No significant differences were observed among the groups. The amount of connective tissue adhesion was 0.82ยฑ0.41 mm, 0.77ยฑ0.26 mm, 0.81ยฑ0.24 mm, and 0.59ยฑ0.28 mm in the surgical control group, CH group, CH-TC0.5 group, and CH-TC1.0 group respectively. Connective tissue adhesion did not show any statistically significant differences among the groups. The amount of new cementum regeneration was 1.53ยฑ0.52 mm, 1.75ยฑ0.27 mm, 1.99ยฑ0.41 mm, and 2.09ยฑ0.25 mm in the surgical control group, CH group, CH-TC0.5 group, and CH-TC1.0 group, respectively, with statistically significant difference between CH-TC1.0 group and the surgical control group (p<0.05). The amount of new alveolar bone regeneration was 1.19ยฑ0.68 mm, 1.53ยฑ0.17 mm, 1.77ยฑ0.45 mm, and 1.82ยฑ0.23 mm in the surgical control group, CH group, CH-TC0.5 group, and CH-TC1.0 group, respectively, with statistically significant difference between CH-TC1.0 group and the surgical control group (p<0.05).Conclusions: The results suggest that CH-TC1.0 membrane may have beneficial effect on the regeneration of bone and cementum in one-wall intrabony periodontal defects of beagle dogs.ope

[์˜๋ฌธ]The Palatal masticatory mucosa was widely used as a donor site in periodontal and implant surgery. but there were relatively few studies investigating the thickness of the palatal mucosa in dentate subjects. The purpose of this study was to study the thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa in korean subjects by direct clinical technique. Fourty systemically and periodontally healthy subjects(20 males:20 females) participated in this study. A bone sounding method using a periodontal probe with minimal anesthesia and a prepared clear acrylic stent was utilized to assess the thickness of palatal mucosa at 24 measurement points defined according to the gingival margin and mid palatal suture. The results are as follows; 1. No gender differences were identified in the thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa. 2. The thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa increased from canine to second molar area(with the exception of the first molar area). canine and first molar areas were significantly thinner than other areas(Pใ€ˆ0.05). 3. The thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa significantly increased in the sites farther from the gingival margin towarding the mid-palate(Pใ€ˆ0.05). Mega-event is an official function held irregularly (occasionally regularly) on a large scale, such as the 2002 World Cup, Expo 2012 Yeosu, 2014 Incheon Asian Game, etc. These mega-events attract participants and spectators everywhere, resulting in high concentration of traffic around the venue and the nearby areas. Event organizers make efforts to mitigate traffic congestion by providing various means of transport service. In that, it is meaningful to develop a tool to make a decision to provide an appropriate level of transport service for the event. Thus, as the basic indicator of the opportunity cost approach, this paper estimates monetary value of the travel time of spectators in the event peak times. A discrete choice model is applied to the analyses along with an SP data from the interviews of 313 visitors in the 2015 Gwangju Universiade. It reveals that the value of travel time of public transit (bus) users at the event peak time is 3,603 won per hour per person, which is lower than that of the average business trips of 15,918 won but is higher than the average non-business trips of 3,041 won.N
