Similarities in the Structure of Human Resource System and Cultural Values among three Korean Terrestrial Broadcasters

This study tried to examine how three terrestrial broadcasters were institutionalized by inter-organizational imitations. More specifically, this paper focused on similarities in the structure of human resource system and cultural values among three Korean terrestrial broadcasters. In other words, this study raised questions about why and how three broadcasters including KBS, MBC and SBS were different from each other in terms of their human resource system and members' cultural values. Using both literature review and survey data, this research has examined differences or similarities of human resource system among three terrestrial broadcasters since 2000. The results showed that three terrestrial broadcasters were different each other in terms of human resource system. Each broadcaster had own distinct characteristics for developing human resource system. Although MBC has experienced high degree of fluctuations in human resource system, SBS was relatively stable. In addition, there were a lot of arguments about the adoption of the team-based organization in KBS. Also the results of discriminant analysis showed that members or program production staffs in three broadcasters had a slightly different values. More specifically, members' values in public broadcasters including KBS and MBC were significantly different from members in private broadcaster such as SBS

The shells of these silicone implants were coated with two different loading amounts of TA, which could release the drug in a sustained manner for 12 weeks. The drug-loaded implants were inserted into the subcutaneous space in living rats, and the tissues were biopsied at scheduled times during 12 weeks. For the drug-coated implants, the capsule thickness and collagen density decreased compared with those of the non-coated implant. Because of the effect of TA, inflammation and the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α and IL-1β, were downregulated, thereby decreasing the number of monocytes during acute inflammation. This effect in turn decreased the number of macrophages at the later stage of inflammation, leading to the expression of less TGF-β and consequently fewer fibroblasts and myofibroblasts. Notably, with an appropriate dose of TA, skin and muscle atrophy, major side effects of TA, could be avoided while still effectively reducing fibrosis. Therefore, I conclude that the local, sustained release of an appropriate dose of a glucocorticoid drug can be a promising strategy for safely preventing fibrosis around silicone implants.1. Diversity and the Degree of Concentration of the Media Markets in Korea

다양성은 커뮤니케이션 정책의 기본 원칙으로 미디어의 공익성의 구현이란 차원에서도 핵심적인 개념으로 인식되어 왔다. 국내 미디어 시장의 다양성을 탐색하기 위하여 본 연구는 미디어 사업자 매출 규모를 중심으로 미디어 시장 내부 및 미디어 간 시장에서의 상위 사업자의 시장집중도를 측정할 수 있는 CR(Concentration Ratios)을 이용해 시장 집중도를 추정했다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 신문이나 지상파 방송시장을 개별적으로 평가해 볼 때 전체적으로 시장집중도가 완화되고 있음에도 불구하고 상위 사업자에 의한 시장집중도는 큰 편으로 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 신문 및 방송 통합 시장의 경우 신문과 방송 시장 내 상위 사업자의 시장집중도는 분석기간 중 점차 감소하고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 상위 3개 사업자 시장집중도는 2006년까지 4.7% 감소했고, 상위 5개 사업자 시장점유율은 완만하게 감소하여 2003년부터 2006년까지 8.3% 줄어들었다. 셋째, 신문을 포함해 방송, 인터넷 시장까지 통합한 시장집중도를 살펴보면 상위 5개 사업자가 차지하는 비중이 32.5%로 나타났다. 이는 통합된 미디어 시장이 분산된 구조를 갖고 있다는 것을 나타낸다. 그러나 소유 구조 통합 시에는 이와 같은 구조의 특성이 변화될 것이다. 앞으로 국내 미디어 시장에서 나타나는 다양성 차원을 보다 구체적으로 분석하기 위해서는 공급 차원에서 소유구조와 시장집중도 방식을 동시에 검토하는 한편 이용자 측면에서의 이용 집중도 추세를 통합적으로 살펴보아야 할 것이다
