(An) setimate of virths and deaths in Seoul area by the dual record system

/석사[한글]인구동태통계는 경제, 사회, 후생, 교육등 광범위한 국가정책의 기초자료로서 중요하다. 우리나라의 인구조사는 1925년부터 실시되고 있으나 인구동태통계의 신뢰성이 극히 작으므로 별로 이용가치가 없는 실정이다. 인구 변화를 추정하는 한 방법으로 중복조사 방법은 동일한 인구에 대하여 2회의 독립된 조사를 실시 그 결과를 서로 대조함으로 새로운 인구동태치를 추정하는 방법을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 연세대학교 인구 및 가족계획 연구소에서 수집한 자료중 서울특별시의 자료를 이용하였으며 1978년 1979년 양 조사대조결과는 다음과 같다. 서울특별시의 총표본 가구수 5,599가구(1979년도)중 양 조사에서 서로 대조되는 가구수는 1,590가구로서 대조율은 28.4 %이다. 이는 서울특별시의 높은 인구 이동으로 인한 것으로 본다. 대조결과에 의한 출생 및 가임여성 조사 누락율은 0.5%, 0.3%로 낮게 나타났으며 사망조사 누락율은 4.8%로서 다소 높게 나타났다. 출생 및 사망조사 내용별 양조사 일치율은 비교적 높게 나타났으나 가임여성 조사 내용별 일치율은 가임여성의 생년월일이 82.0%,가장 최근 출산 년월일이 88.6 %로 다소 낮게 나타났고, 4항목중 4항목 또는 3항목이 일치하는 경우가 95.4%로 나타났다. 즉 1항목이나 2항목만 일치하는 경우가 4.5%로서 이러한 경우를 대조건수로 볼 것인지의 문제를 제기하며, 가임여성 조사방법상의 개선이 요구된다. 1978년 1979년 양조사를 비교하여 볼때 가임여성 조사누락율은 3.2%에서 8.7%로 1979년도에 증가되었으며 출생의 경우도 5.1%에 서 10.2%로 1979년도에 증가되었다. 어머니의 조사누락과 출생조사누락간의 관계는 어머니의 조사 및 조사누락간에 출생조사 및 조사누락에 유의한 차이가 있음을 나타냈다. 본 연구에서 가임여성 조사누락과 영아사망 조사누락간의 관계는 다루지 못하였다. [영문]The dual record system provided estimates of vital events such as birth and death from two surveys that are carried out independently on a population. Applying the system to the two surveys of vital statistics improvement, conducted in 1978 and in 1979 in Seoul area, number of births and number of deaths were estimated. Matching a total number of 1,590 households out of 5,599 households surveyed gave the following findings. Variables selected for matching births were child's name, sex of the child, date of birth, mother's name and mother's date of birth and age at death were the matching variables. 1. About 0.5 per cent of births were estimated as missing from the two independent surveys. 2. About 4.8 per cent of deaths were estimated as missing from the two surveys. 3. Matching the women of child bearing ages from 15 to 49, only 0.3 per cent of the women were estimated as missing from the two surveys. 4. In 1978, the total number of women who had a live birth were estimated as 192 women of which 94.8 per cent or 182 women are identified by matching mother's variables with child's variables.
