[์˜๋ฌธ] The purposes of this study were to develop a physical activity reinforcement program and to evaluate the effects of the program on exercise compliance and health status in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD) patients. The physical activity reinforcement program consisted of an exercise education protocol, an exercise prescription, and a counselling protocol based on a framework of self-efficacy promotion. A nonequivalent control group with pre-post test was designed to examine the effects of the program. Data collection was done from December, 2002 to June, 2003. The study participants were selected according to the criteria among the patients who were receiving CAPD at the I hospital in Kyungki-do. Experimental group which was composed of 19 participants was educated based on an exercise education protocol and carried out walking exercise for two to four times a week upon taking verbal persuasion biweekly through telephone or face-to-face interview for 12 weeks, while 17 participants in control group received no intervention. The data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 9.0; Descriptive statistics, ฯ‡ยฒ-test, Fisher''s exact test, Mann-Whitney U-test, and Wilcoxon Signed Rank test were utilized. The results were as follows: 1. The physical activity reinforcement program was developed incorporating an exercise education protocol, an exercise prescription based on the literature review, and a counseling protocol based on a framework of self-efficacy promotion. 2. Experimental group showed significant improvement in self-efficacy of exercise compliance (U=79.00, p=.01), exercise maintenance (ฯ‡ยฒ=20.84, p=.00), exercise frequency per week (ฯ‡ยฒ=9.03, p=.01), and exercise time (ฯ‡ยฒ=9.03, p=.01) and intensity (ฯ‡ยฒ=11.09, p=.00) compared to those of control group. 3. There was significant differences between two groups; the experimental group showed better physical functioning (U=92.00, p=.02), higher VOโ‚‚max (U=20.5, p=.01) and albumin (U=88.50, p=.02), as well as lower depression score (U=84.50, p=.01) than the results of control group. However, there were no changes in lipid metabolism and anxiety level. In conclusion, the physical activity reinforcement program was found to have an effect to increase exercise compliance and health status of CAPD patients. The results provided evidences for the importance of continuous physical activity in CAPD patients. The study also contributed to provide an useful practical nursing prescription for CAPD patients care.ope

[์˜๋ฌธ] This study was conducted to determine if there were relationships between family support, self care behavior and quality of life in CAPD patients. The research design was descriptive-correlational study and the data were obtained by the use of a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were obtained by using a purposive sampling technique of CAPD patients who were operated on in Y University Hospital and were at the medical outpatients clinic of Y University Hospital between October 11 and 25, 1993. The total number of subjects in this study was 60. The instruments used for this study were the family support scale developed by Kang Hyun Sook, a self care behavior scale developed by Kim Young Hi and quality of life scale developed by Bang Whal Ran. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The average level of family support was 4.07, showing a relatively high level of family support. the highest score was for the item "Family think that I bother them" with an average 4.57 and the lowest score was for the item "Family talks to me so I won't be bored" with an average 3.30. 2. The average level of self care behavior was 3.59, showing a relatively high level of self care behavior, The highest score was for the item "Peritoneal dialysis change sterility and right procedure" with an average 4.22. The lowest score was "I checked body temperature when physical condition was not good" with an average 2.60. 3. The average level of quality of life was 3.17 showing patient was generally satisfied with life. Quality of life was separated 6 factor and the highest factor was "Life attitude factor" with an average 3.55, the lowest factor was "Social acting factor" with an average 2.92. 4. A significant correlation was found between the family support level and the self care behavior level(r=.3582, p .01). A significant correlation was found between the family support level and the quality of life level(r=.4608, p .001). A significant correlation was found between the self care behavior level and the quality of life level.(r=.4477, p .001) 5. After testing the difference between family support, self care behavior and quality of life according to general characters, a significant difference was found between the salary and the family support(F=4.88, P .05), and between religion and quality of life(F=2.59, P .05). 6. After testing the difference between family support, self care behavior and quality of life according to disease characters, no significant difference was found between CAPD duration and family support, self care behavior and quality of life. No significant difference was found between the frequency of admissions related CAPD and self care behavior, family support, quality of life. A significant difference was "though about disease" and quality of life(F=5.18, P .01), "health perception level" and family support(F=2.41, P .05). "health perception level" and quality of life(F=5.42, P .01). From the results this study it was noted that family support and self care of CAPD patients are the main variables for improving the quality of life. According to "religion", "thought about disease" and "health perception level", there are also significant difference variables for improving the quality of life.restrictio

The literature and instruments related to class environment and school violence studies were examined. As a result of the examinations, a comprehensive item pool was created and submitted to subject area experts for the content validity. Items in draft scale prepared as 44 negative and positive statements. Two sets of samples (293 and 396 students in Korea) served to explore and confirm the constructs of the class environmental scale for school violence prevention proposed by this study. In principal components analysis for the sample (n=293), the scale of 34-items factored into 6 sub-scales. A confirmatory factor analysis (n=396) showed that the six-factor model was valid for the sample (RMSEA=.056, TLI=.908, CFI=.935, IFI=.937). Internal consistency reliability, factorial validity, and concurrent validity were satisfactory in the case of the Korean students. The study found that the psychometric properties of the class environmental scale for school violence prevention are acceptable and suitable for use. Implications and limitations of this study were discussed
