The internal layout of the inside and outside of the Chang'gyeong-gung palace, and the internal structure of a "Gagung(宮家, original residence for a king before his enthronement)," examined through the funeral procedures for Crown prince Euiso(懿昭世孫), during king Yeongjo's reign

이 논문은 영조의 손자이자 사도세자의 맏아들인 의소세손의 예장 절차를 통해 궁궐 내외의 공간적 배치와 동선을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 했다. 그리고 동선의 분석에 있어서 의소묘의 공간구조에 대해서도 살펴보고자 했다. 세손의 상장 과정을 보여주는 경우는 의소세손이 유일무이하다. 훙서부터 입묘까지 의절면에서, 예장에 사용된 용어면에서, 의례를 거행한 시점면에서 세자의 예장과 큰 차이를 보이지는 않았다. 다만, 모든 의물의 제도, 규모, 규격, 수효 등에서는 차이가 드러났음을 확인할 수 있었다. 훙서부터 입묘까지 각종 의절은 훙서에서 대렴까지는 통명전에서, 성빈부터 발인 직전까지는 숭문당[빈궁]에서, 발인부터 묘소까지는 궁궐 안과 楊州의 鞍峴에서, 초우제부터 담제까지는 강서원[혼궁]에서, 입묘는 영조의 잠저인 창의궁에서 각각 거행되었다. 발인부터 묘소까지의 공간을 제외하면 모두 궁궐에서 거행되었다. 懿昭廟의 공간구조는 圖說을 통해 이해했다. 사당으로의 진입동선을 보면 제1문부터 제3문까지 구성하고 이후 신삼문을 통해 사당공간으로 들어가는 공간구성을 확인할 수 있는데, 이는 문에 의해 공간을 분절해가면서 존엄한 곳으로 진입하게 하는 깊이감을 구성하는 형식으로 구성되었음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 깊이감을 구성해가는 방식은 조선 궁궐의 공간구성 수법에서도 동일하게 보이는 형식이고, 다른 궁묘 공간에서도 보이는 일반적인 형식임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 의소묘의 건물구성을 보면 당시 영건된 다른 사당의 공간구조와 유사한 모습을 하고 있는 점에서 사당의 건물구성에 있어서 일정한 형식이 있었을 것으로 짐작되다. 한편 영조의 잠저인 창의궁에 구성된 의소묘와 의궤의 도설을 살펴보면, 창의궁에서 표현된 건물의 모습과 의소묘의 도설에 보이는 정우[正宇]의 공간이 일치함을 확인할 수 있고, 의소묘의 도설에 보이는 사당 영역 밖의 진입 동선이 창의궁 배치도에 표현된 붉은 글씨로 쓰인 건물 명칭과 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. 즉 창의궁에 표현된 배치도는 의소묘의 공간구성과 동선을 잘 표현하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.Examined in this article is the official funeral arranged for crown prince Euiso(懿昭世孫), the grandson of king Yeongjo and also the oldest son of the late crown prince Sado(思悼世子), in order to determine the internal positioning of structures inside palaces, as well as external pathways leading to them. Also examined is the inside of the Euiso-myo shrine. This Euiso Seson is unique figure, as his life shows us how a crown-prince who was the sitting kings grandson and not son actually grew up and died. Since his death(薨逝) took place and till his funeral was completed by his enshrinement(立廟), he was treated virtually as a normal crown prince even when he was not the son but the grandson of the present king. He was treated so in terms of protocols, details and the timetable. Of course there were differences in terms of size, quantity and numbers of involved materials

The Construction process of the Munhi-myo(文禧廟) Shrine during Joseon king Jeongjos reign, and the internal composition

이 논문은 정조의 맏아들 문효세자의 신위를 봉안한 문희묘의 건립과정과 공간구성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 했다. 1786년에 문효세자가 훙서하고 상장례를 마친 뒤 문희묘에 그의 신위를 봉안해야 하는데 한참 뒤에 가서야 봉안했다. 문희묘를 건립하기 전, 문효세자의 생모인 의빈 성씨가 졸하면서 그녀의 사당인 의빈묘의 근처에 문희묘를 건립하게 되면서 문희묘의 공역이 미뤄졌고, 그 밖에 다른 이유들이 더해지면서 1789년(정조 13) 4월에 가서야 완공되었다. 문희묘가 건립된 뒤 건립 과정을 기록한 『문희묘영건청등록』을 편찬했다. 여기에는 문희묘만이 아니라 의빈묘까지 함께 하나의 도설로 제시하여 두 사당의 전체적인 공간구성을 묘사해 놓았다. 사묘 공간의 전체 구성은 2개의 사당이 하나의 영역에 위치한 특징을 보이지만 다른 일반적인 사묘 건물과 유사한 동선 체계를 하고 있다. 반면, 공간구성에 翠屛을 이용한 점은 다른 사묘 건축에서는 볼 수 없는 독특한 구성 요소였다. 문희묘는 정조대 동궐의 공간구성 변화와 조선후기 상업경제의 변동과 함께 사회적ㆍ정치적 상황을 이해할 수 있는 중요한 영건공사였다.In 1786, when Crown prince Munhyo Seja(文孝世子) died and the funeral and burial service(喪葬禮) for him was completed, his tablet(神位) was set to be enshrined at the Munhi-myo(文禧廟) Shrine. But his tablet was enshrined only after a great deal of time had passed. Prior to the Munhi-myo Shrines construction, Crown prince Munhyos biological mother Euibin Seong(宜嬪成氏) died too, and the construction of the Munhi-myo Shrine was delayed, for it to be constructed in the vicinity of Euibins Shrine(宜嬪廟). After the Munhi-myo Shrine was constructed, the 『Munhi-myo Yeonggeon-cheong Deungrok(文禧廟營建廳謄錄)』, a documented record of the construction process, was published. Not only the layout of the Munhi-myo Shrine but also that of the Euibin shrine were both included in the book, with pictures(圖說). The entire area was composed with two Shrines in one space, but showed similarity with other normal shrines as well. The unique aspect of this one is that it used folding screens(翠屛) to create sections inside the space.
