    Pro-inflammatory Function of Secreted Threonyl-tRNA synthetase

Among the 20 different amino acids eukaryotes carry, threonyl-tRNA synthetase (TRS) delivers Threonine to tRNA to regulate protein synthesis. However, there is not much of a study done on functions of TRS other than conventional features. It is currently known that TRS is secreted by the external stimulus such as VEGF and TNF. This mechanism causes metastasis and angiogenesis of tumor, but it is not well studied how secreted TRS functions in this circumstances. Inflammatory cytokines are activated by extracellular signaling and then activated cytokines are secreted through the cell membrane. I expected secreted TRS can do a role of inflammatory function. So, I expressed and purified recombinant human TRS in E. coli. Responses of TRS were studied with the purified TRS on various cell lines. Consequently, I found that recombinant TRS can stimulate important cytokines and chemokines such as IL-6 and IL-8, respectively. On this result, for confirming cytokine activities of TRS, TRS plays an important role in inducing the inflammatory immune response. The present study suggested that TRS can be developed as a novel biomarker targeting newly discovered immune responses and inflammatory diseases.Introduction 5 Abbreviations list 7 Material and methods 8 1.     Real-time Non-Rigid 3D Reconstruction System Specialized for Human Body Reconstruction

    MasterThis thesis proposes a real-time non-rigid 3D human body reconstruction framework from depth images taken by a commercial color-depth camera. We take a consecutive color-depth image stream as the input and incrementally reconstruct a surface of the model in a 3D canonical TSDF volume space based on the estimated non-rigid warp field from the canonical space to the current input frame. Since the target domain is a human body, we exploit information of a skeletal structure for estimating the warp field of each bone in a hierarchical way and accelerate the computation time compared to previous works. Per-voxel non-rigid warpings are calculated via GPU parallel processing for real-time performance

    Modelling of Driver’s Stopping Maneuver Based on Expression as Hybrid Dynamical System under Three-Dimensional Virtual Reality Equipment

    This paper presents a new framework to understand the modeling strategy of the human driving behavior based on the expression as Hybrid Dynamical System(HDS) model focusing on the driver’s stopping maneuver. The driving data are collected by using the three-dimensional driving simulator based on CAVE Automatic Virtual Environment(CAVE), which provides stereoscope immersive virtual environment. In our modeling, the control scenario of the human driver, that is, the mapping from the driver’s sensory information to the operation of the driver such as acceleration, braking and steering, is expressed by Piecewise Polynomial System (PWPS) model. Since the PWPS model includes both continuous behavior given by polynomials and discrete logical conditions, it can be regarded as a class of Hybrid Dynamical System(HDS). The key idea to solve the identification problem for the PWPS model is formulated as the Mixed Integer Linear Programming(MILP) by transforming the switching conditions into binary variables. From the obtained results, it is found that the driver appropriately switches the ‘control law’ according to the following scenario : At the beginning of the stopping maneuver (just after finding the stopping point), the driver decelerate the vehicle based on the acceleration information, and then switch th toe control law based on the distance to the stop line. These results enable us to capture not only the physical meaning of the driving skill(polynomials), but also the decision-making aspect(switching conditions) in the driver’s stopping maneuver.2

    A Study on the Characteristics Analysis of High Frequency Common-Mode Choke with the Winding Method of Automatic Type suitable for LED-TV SMPS

    This paper presents the high frequency common mode (HFCM) choke with the winding method of automatic type capable of EMI attenuation of high frequency band / used in the EMI filter of LED-TV SMPS without PFC block. The high frequency common mode choke with the winding method of automatic type proposed in this paper can not only reduce the parasitic capacitance(Cp), but also ensure the uniformity of electrical characteristics by adopting the winding methods of multi-section bobbin and automatic types, compared to the conventional high frequency common mode choke with the winding method of manual type. The first resonant frequency of the proposed CM choke tends to increase as the parasitic capacitance becomes small and its impedance characteristics improved performance as the first resonant frequency increases, especially in the high frequency bands. The high frequency common mode choke (Cp) with the winding method of automatic type proposed in this paper shows that in the future, the method may have practical use in LED/OLED-TV SMPS and in several applications, such as LED Lighting, Laptop Adapter, and so on.2
