However, information is lacking regarding the incidence of inflight incidents and the types of first aid provided by cabin crew members and inflight medical volunteers. Moreover, the authors are not aware of the existence of studies published in journals examining the reasons and specific symptoms for which cabin crew members contact ground-based medical services(GBMS). Thus, the aim of this study was to identify the incidence and types of reported inflight medical incidents and evaluate the use of GBMS by the cabin crew of a major South Korean airline for in-flight medical incidents involving passengers.
We reviewed the cabin reports and medical records submitted by cabin crew members and inflight medical volunteers from 2009 to 2013. We also reviewed cabin crew reports submitted to the GBMS team and cabin crew logs from May 2013 to April 2016. We conducted a survey of cabin crew to identify the anticipated use of GBMS in 2017. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23 to calculate descriptive statistics and chi-square test.
We found a total of 2818 cases reported. Fifteen cases of inflight deaths and 15 cases of aircraft diversions during this period were also reported. First aid was performed by the cabin crew alone 52% of the cases and by medical volunteers in 47.8% of the cases. The most commonly reported causes for first aid performed by the cabin crew and medical volunteers were burns and syncope, respectively.
A total of 915 instances of GBMS use were reported during the study period. The most common reasons for needing GBMS was medication prescription (n=496, 54.2%). The most common symptoms that triggered contact with GBMS was neuropsychiatric symptoms (n=146, 16%). The most frequent reasons for prescription requests to GBMS were the absence of onboard medical volunteers (n=165, 35.2%). The medication most commonly prescribed by GBMS was analgesics (n=170, 36.2%).
Among 766 team leaders and assistant leaders, 211 individuals answered the questionnaire. The most common reasons and symptoms of using GBMS was medication prescription (n=117, 55.5%) and neuropsychiatric symptoms (n=132, 32.3%).
Consequently, since burn were one of the common reasons that first aid was provided by the cabin crew, it may be necessary to include first aid treatments for burns in the annual re-qualification training programme. As the cabin crew memebers tends to reply on GBMS to assist with digestive and pediatric symptoms, GBMS providers must be prepared to deal with these symptoms.β

sempre rispettato neanche nelle societa democratiche.
civile e aumentare numericamente i segreti dello Stato.
3) sorvegliare leccessiva ingerenza dello Stato nell legislazione archivistica.
