The Embedment of a Metadata System at Grid Farms at the Belle II

In order to search for new physics beyond the standard model, the next generation of B-factory experiment, Belle II will collect a huge data sample that is a challenge for computing systems. The Belle II experiment, which should commence data collection in 2015, expects data rates 50 times greater than that of Belle. The advanced data searching system with AMGA at the Belle II experiment

We have developed a metadata service for the Belle experiment which provides a mechanism to locate files using descriptive information. However, for the Belle II experiment, we will have 50–60 times more data. This metadata service may have problems with performance, scalability, and durability when employed at Belle II.
