Economic Efficiency of Digital Library : A Case Study on the DLP of the National Digital Library

본 연구는 국립중앙도서관의 국립디지털도서관 건립사업 중 서고 건축 부분을 제외한 디지털도서관프로그램을 대상으로 경제적 타당성을 분석한 사례연구이다. 평가 결과의 정량화를 위하여 비용편익 분석 방법을 사용하였으며, 추정치의 오차를 보완하고 분석 결과의 신뢰도를 높이기 위하여 결과 값에 대한 민감도 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 편익/비용 비율이 1.70으로 분석되어 경제성이 매우 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 도서관이 사회전반에 걸쳐 장기적으로 파급하는 효과를 실증적으로 분석한 것으로서 실용적인 기능을 할 수 있을 것이며 또한 본 연구에서 적용한 비용편익 분석 모형은 앞으로 이루어질 보다 전문적이고 깊이 있는 연구의 기초로 적용될 수 있을 것이다. This study is a case study that attempt to quantify the economic efficiency of "digital library program(DLP) of the National Library of Korea" by means of cost-benefit analysis. Results indicate that the B/C ratio is 1.70 which can be interpreted the economic efficiency of DLP is very high. Of particular significance is the fact that this study empirically proves that the digital library program is economically efficient.2
