The Lax pair for C_2-type Ruijsenaars-Schneider model
We study the C_2 Ruijsenaars-Schneider(RS) model with interaction potential
of trigonometric type. The Lax pairs for the model with and without spectral
parameter are constructed. Also given are the involutive Hamiltonians for the
system. Taking nonrelativistic limit, we obtain the Lax pair of C_2
Calogero-Moser model.Comment: LaTeX2e, 10 pages, some misprints corrected and sections rearrange
Recrystallized parylene as a mask for silicon chemical etching
This paper presents the first use of recrystallized
parylene as masking material for silicon chemical etch.
Recrystallized parylene was obtained by melting parylene C at
350°C for 2 hours. The masking ability of recrystallized parylene
was tested in HNA (hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and acetic acid)
solution of various ratios, KOH (potassium hydroxide) solution
and TMAH (tetramethylammonium hydroxide) at different
temperatures and concentrations. It is found that interface
between parylene and the substrate can be attacked, which
results in undercuts. Otherwise, recrystallized parylene exhibited
good adhesion to silicon, complete protection of unexposed silicon
and silicon etching rates comparable to literature data
Superfluid-Insulator Transitions in Attractive Bose-Hubbard Model with Three-Body Constraint
By means of the method of the effective potential, the phase transitions from
the Mott insulating state to either the atomic or the dimer superfluid state in
the three-body constrained attractive Bose lattice gas are analyzed. Due to the
appearance of the Feshbach resonance coupling between the two kinds of order
parameters in the derived effective potential function, it is found that the
continuous Mott insulator-to-superfluid transitions can be preempted by
first-order ones. Since the employed approach can provide accurate predictions
of phase boundaries in the strong coupling limit, where the dimer superfluid
phase can emerge, our work hence sheds light on the search of this novel phase
in real ultracold Bose gases in optical lattices.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure
A new potential radiosensitizer: ammonium persulfate modified WCNTs
Radiotherapy plays a very important role in cancer treatment. Radiosensitizers have been widely used to enhance the radiosensitivity of cancer cells at given radiations. Here we fabricate multi-walled carbon nanotubes with ammonium persulfate, and get very short samples with 30-50 nanometer length. Cell viability assay show that f-WCNTs induce cell death significantly. We hypothesize that free radicals originated from hydroxyl and carbonyl groups on the surface of f-WCNTs lead cell damage
