Glucocorticoid-regulated kinase CAMKI\gamma in the central amygdala controls anxiety-like behavior in mice

The expression of the Calcium/Calmodulin-Dependent Protein Kinase I gamma (encoded by the Camk1g gene) depends on the activation of glucocorticoid receptors (GR) and is strongly regulated by stress. Since Camk1g is primarily expressed in neuronal cells of the limbic system in the brain, we hypothesized that it could be involved in signaling mechanisms that underlie the adaptive or maladaptive responses to stress. Here, we find that restraint-induced stress and the GR agonist dexamethasone robustly increase the expression of Camk1g in neurons of the amygdalar nuclei in the mouse brain. To assess the functional role of Camk1g expression, we performed a virally induced knock-down of the transcript. Mice with bilateral amygdala-specific Camk1g knock-down showed increased anxiety-like behaviors in the light-dark box, and an increase in freezing behavior after fear-conditioning, but normal spatial working memory during exploration of a Y-maze. Thus, we confirm that Camk1g is a neuron-specific GR-regulated transcript, and show that it is specifically involved in behaviors related to anxiety, as well as responses conditioned by aversive stimuli

Celem pracy by艂o przedstawienie asymetrii fluktuuj膮cej w badanej grupie. Materia艂em i podstaw膮 do analizy stanowi艂y ekspertyzy antropologiczne zawieraj膮ce dermatoglify wykonywane w celu dochodzenia ojcostwa. Analizowano wsp贸艂czynniki sko艣no艣ci pojedynczych cech, a tak偶e r贸偶nic cech bilateralnych i w dalszej cz臋艣ci pracy skupiono si臋 na tych cechach, kt贸re posiada艂y niewielkie odchylenia od rozk艂adu normalnego (by艂y to r贸偶nice w uwzorowaniu palc贸w i liczby listewek pomi臋dzy homologicznymi palcami prawej i lewej r臋ki).Dokonano oceny cz臋sto艣ci wyst臋powania wzor贸w w badanej grupie. Oceniono, 偶e badana grupa jest grup膮 reprezentatywn膮 populacji Polskiej.Oceniono nat臋偶enie asymetrii fluktuuj膮cej wg wzor贸w zaproponowanych przez 呕膮dzi艅sk膮 (2004). Oceniano poziom FA1i FA2 dla 5 cech uwzorowania i 5 cech liczb listewek sk贸rnych. Por贸wnywano nat臋偶enie asymetrii kobiet i m臋偶czyzn. Badano, czy asymetria fluktuuj膮ca dermatoglif贸w ma zwi膮zek z czynnikami 艣rodowiskowymi takimi jak miejsce urodzenia, region urodzenia i czas urodzenia.Por贸wnywano zale偶no艣ci mi臋dzy grupami krwi, a uwzorowaniem listewek sk贸rnych i nat臋偶eniem asymetrii. Badania asymetrii fluktuuj膮cej dotycz膮cych cech dermatoglificznych pozwalaj膮 odpowiedzie膰 na szereg pyta艅 zwi膮zanych z rozwojem organizmu i jego ekosensytywno艣ci膮. W powy偶szej pracy pr贸bowano odpowiedzie膰 na szereg wa偶nych pyta艅. The aim of this study was to show fluctuating asymmetry in the group. Its intensity is a measure of stability and development of the body and allows you to answer the question of how the body was doing in its fetal life with the pressure of environmental and stress factors. The material and the basis for the forensic analysis was the investigation of paternity made in the 70, 80, 90 th century to the Department of Anthropology of the Jagiellonian University by its employees. The study group represented 95 families according to the model: a mother, child + father of rank at least very likely (according to the scale of Hummels, 1971), which together accounted for 285 people (147 males and 138 females).Analyzed the skewness coefficients of individual characteristics, and attributes the differences bilaterally and the rest of the work focuses on those features that have small deviations from the normal distribution. An evaluation of the incidence patterns in the group. It has been estimated that the test group is representative of the Polish population.Fluctuating asymmetry analysis was done according to formulas proposed by 呕膮dzi艅ska. Assessed the level of FA2 FA1 and frequency patterns for 5 features of patterns and 5 features of number of dermal ridges. Compared the intensity of asymmetry between men and women. A higher coefficients of skewness and higher intensity of asymmetry observed in males. It was found that environmental factors such as place of birth, region of birth and time of birth affect the level of fluctuating asymmetry. The most stress manifesting itself in high-intensity asymmetries were exposed persons born during the war (time of birth), northern Poland (region of birth) and villages (place of birth). In turn, such factors as time away from the wars, city and Southern Poland characterized by the lowest unemployment rates favored the symmetrical development of the strips of skin and lowest asymmetry. Were investigated the relationship between blood groups and pattern strips of skin and the intensity of asymmetry. Research on the characteristics of fluctuating asymmetry features of dermatoglyphics allow to answer several questions related to the development of the organism and its eco-tenderness. In this work attempts to answer several important questions. It is, however, carry a similar question in a higher number of individuals that will give more accurate and reliable results, as the analysis of FA is of particular importance in monitoring the population living in Poland today and in the world, and also to reconstruct the conditions of life and health of the population biological history, and prehistoric
