    In this work, probability and loss ratios for least mode even and odd fields in the semiconductor single stepindex lasers with alpha method are theoretically have been studied and validities of novel found formulas are confirmed and compared with each other numerically: That the results for the least mode even and odd fields are also marginally different has been seen. These accurate differences on the asymmetric and symmetric cases have reflected to the quantities, such as normalized propagation constants, confinement factors depend on them, propagation constants of the regions, wave numbers are the same accuracy, has been understood in the numerical samples clearly. But, unless the refractive indices are changed, that phase constants, phase velocities, effective indices and energy levels of active region are the same has been evaluated

    Bu çalısmada, yarıiletken tekli adım kırılma indisli lazerlerde en düsük modlu çift ve tek fonksiyonlu alanda olasılık ve kayıp oranları alfa yöntemi ile teorik olarak incelenmis ve bulunan yeni formüllerin dogrulukları nümerik olarak gerçeklenmis ve karsılastırılmıstır: En düsük modlu çift ve tek fonksiyonlu alana iliskin sonuçların az da olsa farklı oldukları görülmüstür. Çift ve tek fonksiyonlu alana ait bu hassas farklılıkların asimetrik ve simetrik durumlarda normalize yayılım sabitleri, bunlara baglı olarak hapsedicilik faktörleri, bölgelere ait yayılım sabitleri, dalga numaraları gibi büyüklüklere de aynı hassasiyetle yansıdıgı nümerik örneklerde açıkça görülmektedir. Fakat faz sabitleri, faz hızları, efektif indis ve aktif bölgenin enerji seviyelerinin, bölgelerin kırılma indisleri aynı kaldıgı sürece, degismedigi gözlenmistir

    This study focuses on power and probability expressions belong to normalized frequency and normalized propagation constant of electric field in the rectangular quantum well. The confinement effects of the properties of confined carriers in the energy levels have been studied. Normalized frequency and normalized propagation constant are especially functions of the ordinates and abscissas of the energy eigenvalues for electrons or holes in the rectangular quantum well in the normalized coordinate system (?-?). Our calculations also give more accurate results, and present more sensitive comparative examples
