Ecosystems as climate controllers â biotic feedbacks (a review)
There is good evidence that higher global temperature will promote a rise of green house gas levels, implying a positive feedback which will increase the effect of the anthropogenic emissions on global temperatures. Here we present a review about the results which deal with the possible feedbacks
between ecosystems and the climate system. There are a lot of types of feedback which are classified.

The impact of marketing oriented product development on new product performance = A marketing orientĂĄlt termĂ©kfejlesztĂ©s hatĂĄsa az Ășj termĂ©k teljesĂtmĂ©nyre
In the new product innovation management literature a lot of empirical studies have supported the importance of marketing orientation as a key success factor of new products. The purpose of this paper is to examine on a Hungarian sample if there is a connection between marketing oriented product development and new product performance. Firms were clustered into two product performance categories. ANOVA analysis showed significant correlation between R&D/marketing interface and new product performance, while variables associated with costumer orientation were not significant. The study was based on data âIn Global Competition 2004 â 2006â survey. A note on Talagrand's variance bound in terms of influences
Let X_1,..., X_n be independent Bernoulli random variables and a function
on {0,1}^n. In the well-known paper (Talagrand1994) Talagrand gave an upper
bound for the variance of f in terms of the individual influences of the X_i's.
This bound turned out to be very useful, for instance in percolation theory and
related fields. In many situations a similar bound was needed for random
variables taking more than two values. Generalizations of this type have indeed
been obtained in the literature (see e.g. (Cordero-Erausquin2011), but the
proofs are quite different from that in (Talagrand1994). This might raise the
impression that Talagrand's original method is not sufficiently robust to
obtain such generalizations. However, our paper gives an almost self-contained
proof of the above mentioned generalization, by modifying step-by-step
Talagrand's original proof.Comment: 10 page
Intracellular mycoparasites in action: interactions between powdery mildew fungi and Ampelomyces
Pycnidial fungi of the genus Ampelomyces are widespread intracellular
mycoparasites of powdery mildew fungi worldwide. Their pycnidia are produced
in hyphae, conidiophores and immature ascomata of their mycohosts.
Thus, they suppress both the asexual and the sexual reproduction of the
invaded powdery mildew mycelia, and then destroy them completely.
Conidia of Ampelomyces are released from the intracellular pycnidia by the
rupture of the pycnidial wall; conidia then germinate on the host plant
surfaces, penetrate the intact hyphae of powdery mildew mycelia found in
their vicinity and invade them internally growing from cell to cell through
the septal pores of the mycohost. The early stage of mycoparasitism is
apparently biotrophic, but the invaded cytoplasm then begins to die and a
necrotrophic interaction results. Toxin production has not been detected in
Ampelomyces, so it might act directly by invasion and destruction of the host cytoplasm. Experimental data showed that parasitized powdery mildew
colonies can continue their growth, but their sporulation is stopped soon
after Ampelomyces penetrated their mycelia. It is concluded that these
mycoparasites represent a stress factor in the life cycle of their mycohosts
but their role in the natural control of powdery mildew infections requires
further investigations
How the Introduction of Streaming Has Changed the Financial Focal Points of the Music Industry
For this thesis, the gathered research will demonstrate how the introduction of music streaming has made a monumental impact on the music industry and the financial effect it has had on various aspects of the creation and distribution of recorded music. The areas of research will range from the music labels in charge of producing and providing the music to the streaming services in charge of distributing the music. Focus will be on how music streaming developed in the late 1990s and took the music media world by storm, devaluing and diluting the power of the physical music industry in the process. This thesis will also provide evidence of how the shift to music streaming has fractured the financial stability that an artist previously had in pursuing music as a full-time career, as well as the current legal troubles associated with creating and maintaining value in the digitalized industry
