The determination of the asynchronous traction motor characteristics of locomotive
The article deals with the problem of the locomotive asynchronous traction motor control with the AC diesel-electric transmission. The limitations of the torque of the traction motor when powered by the inverter are determined. The recommendations to improve the use of asynchronous traction motor of locomotives with the AC diesel-electric transmission are given
An Asynchronous Electric Drive with the Indirect Control of the Output Variables
The article gives a mathematical description of an asynchronous motor with a device of indirect control of the electromagnetic torque and the angular velocity of the asynchronous motor in the electric drive that allows to prove on its basis the method of monitoring the output variables of the asynchronous electric motor. The simulation model of an asynchronous motor with a device of indirect control of the output variables of the asynchronous motor and the main results of the study have been given
Asynchronous performance analysis of a single-phase capacitor-start, capacitor-run permanent magnet motor
This work presents a detailed analysis of the asynchronous torque components (average cage, magnet braking torque and pulsating) for a single-phase capacitor-start, capacitor-run permanent magnet motor. The computed envelope of pulsating torque superimposed over the average electromagnetic torque leads to an accurate prediction of starting torque. The developed approach is realized by means of a combination of symmetrical components and d-q axes theory and it can be extended for any m-phase AC motor - induction, synchronous reluctance or synchronous permanent magnet. The resultant average electromagnetic torque is determined by superimposing the asynchronous torques and magnet braking torque effects
Control of asynchronous motor
The thesis is focused on asynchronous motors. The first part deals with construction, principles of function and speed-torque characteristics of the motors. Furthermore, a mathematical model of an asynchronous motor in Matlab-Simulink program is created in order to make a possibility to test any type of motor and check all parameters, which is more economical than testing real objects. The second part of the work contains an overall summary of asynchronous motor control methods.
Mathematical Description of an Asynchronous Motor with the Indirect Control of the Output Mechanical Variables
The article gives the mathematical description of an asynchronous motor with the indirect control of the output mechanical variables of an asynchronous motor in the electric drive. To determine the electromagnetic torque and angular velocity of the asynchronous motor in the electric drive the mathematical description is used in which the values are determined by the readings of the motor and easily measured values by means of known in practice devices. The proposed in the article the mathematical description for the indirect measuring the electromagnetic torque and angular velocity of the asynchronous motor in the electric drive does not contain the integral components that introduce the great error into the value of the controlled electromagnetic torque and angular velocity
Measurement of the asynchronous motor
The work deals with the methods of measurement of various types and characteristics of induction engines is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter introduces us to the history superficially induction engines and the direction of work. The second chapter is devoted to different types of tests on this induction engines. The third chapter lists the results of measurements on two engines also known as type AOM090L02-016 (which is equipped with single layer winding) and type AOM090L02-017 (which is equipped with a double layer winding). In the end this work describing measurement of torque characteristics from run-up characteristic by using PC and freewheel.
The psychological, psychophysical and ergogenic effects of music in sport: A review and synthesis
This is the post-print of this chapter - Copyright @ 2008 RoutledgeWe have presented two complementary conceptual approaches underlying the study and application of music in sport and exercise contexts [103, 104]. We have also established that music can be applied to sports training and competition in many different ways, and have provided 573 initial evidence for a quartic relationship between exercise heart rate and music tempo preference. One of the main demonstrated benefits of music is that it enhances psychological state, which has implications for optimising pre-competition mental state and increasing the enjoyment of training activities. Used synchronously, music can boost work output and makes repetitive tasks such as cycling or running more energy efficient. When we embarked upon our programme of research almost two decades ago, our intention was to promote more judicious use of music. The evidence that we have accumulated coupled with the findings of many other researchers from around the world, should allow athletes and practitioners to tap the psychological, psychophysical and ergogenic effects of music with greater precision
