RADOME ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES
Radar Dome, or usually called Radome, is usually placed over the antenna as an antenna protector
from any physical thing that can break it. Ideally, radome does not degrade antenna performance. In fact, it
may change antenna performance and cause several effects, such as boresight error, changing antenna side
lobe level and depolarization. The antenna engineer must take stringent analysis to estimate the changes of
performance due to placing radome.
Methods in the analysis using fast receiving formulation based on Lorentz reciprocity and
Geometrical Optics. The radome has been tilted for some angle combinations in azimuth and elevation with
respect to the antenna under test in order to get the difference responses.
From the results of measuring and analyzing the radome, it can be concluded that radome can
change the antenna performance, including boresight shift, null fill-in and null shifting for difference
signals, and changing antenna radiation pattern. In the CATR measurement with two reflectors, the
extraneous signal which originates from feed is minimized by adding absorber at the side of the feed. Several
things that affect to the accuracy of the simulation program are extraneous signal, loss tangent uncertainty,
diffraction, and dielectric uncertainty and inhomogeneity.

Data analysis techniques: Spectral processing
The individual steps in the data processing scheme applied to most radars used for wind sounding are analyzed. This processing method uses spectral analysis and assumes a pulse Doppler radar. Improvement in the signal to noise ratio of some radars is discussed
OSSE spectral analysis techniques
Analysis of the spectra from the Oriented Scintillation Spectrometer Experiment (OSSE) is complicated because of the typically low signal to noise (approx. 0.1 percent) and the large background variability. The OSSE instrument was designed to address these difficulties by periodically offset-pointing the detectors from the source to perform background measurements. These background measurements are used to estimate the background during each of the source observations. The resulting background-subtracted spectra can then be accumulated and fitted for spectral lines and/or continua. Data selection based on various environmental parameters can be performed at various stages during the analysis procedure. In order to achieve the instrument's statistical sensitivity, however, it will be necessary for investigators to develop a detailed understanding of the instrument operation, data collection, and the background spectrum and its variability. A brief description of the major steps in the OSSE spectral analysis process is described, including a discussion of the OSSE background spectrum and examples of several observational strategies
MAID Analysis Techniques
MAID is a unitary isobar model for a partial wave analysis of pion photo- and
electroproduction in the resonance region. It is fitted to the world data and
can give predictions for multipoles, amplitudes, cross sections and
polarization observables in the energy range from pion threshold up to W=2 GeV
and photon virtualities Q^2 < 5 GeV^2. Using more recent experimental results
from Mainz, Bates, Bonn and JLab for Q^2 up to 4.0 GeV^2, the Q^2 dependence of
the helicity couplings A_{1/2}, A_{3/2}, S_{1/2} has been extracted for a
series of four star resonances. We compare single-Q^2 analyses with a
superglobal fit in a new parametrization of Maid2005. Besides the (pion) MAID,
at Mainz we maintain a collection of online programs for partial wave analysis
of eta, eta' and kaon photo- and electroproduction which are all based on
similar footings with field theoretical background and baryon excitations in
Breit-Wigner form.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figurs, 2 tables, Proc. of NSTAR2005, Tallahassee, FL,

Formal analysis techniques for gossiping protocols
We give a survey of formal verification techniques that can be used to corroborate existing experimental results for gossiping protocols in a rigorous manner. We present properties of interest for gossiping protocols and discuss how various formal evaluation techniques can be employed to predict them
