The Word Formation Processes of Indonesian Slang Words Used in Cosmo Girl! Indonesian Teenage Magazine
This was a qualitative study of word formation processes of Indonesian slang words in the Cosmo Girl!. To reveal the type of word formation and the most frequent type of word formation processes, the writer used two theories of word formation processes, namely word formation processes by Yule (2006) supported by Indonesian word formation processes by Chaedar (1994). The findings revealed four types of word formation processes, namely Clipping (3.22%), Blending (3.22%), Borrowing (19.35%) and Multiple Processes (74.19%). Although the Multiple Processes took a crucial part in forming Indonesian slang words, the process of borrowing dominantly occurred in the Multiple Processes. Especially English was often used in the borrowing process. Besides, the findings revealed processes that are not stated in both of the theories, namely Addition, Substitution and Deletion. These three processes were needed to adjust to Indonesian spelling system
WORD-FORMATION MODELING.
The study of the ways in which new complex words are built on the basis of other words or morphemes is known as word-formation. The search for appropriate alternatives that may be found in morphological variants or in case of usage phrase structures is the task of word-formation modeling
Lexicon and Word Formation in Indonesian Bajo
This paper1 deals with the phonology and the lexicology of the Indonesian Bajo language and more specifically with the dialect or variant that can be heard all around the Flores Sea in Kangean, South-East Sulawesi, Sumbawa, and Flores. The phonological survey focuses on vowel lengthening, gemination, pre-nasalized phonemes, and sandhi. The second part of this paper proposes an insight into Bajo lexicology, restricted to nominal and verbal derivation
WORD FORMATION AND PRODUCT NAMING STRATEGY: A STUDY OF MORPHOLOGY
This research entitled “Word Formation and Product Naming Strategy: A Study of Morphology” discusses
the word formation theories and applies the theory in product naming. The method used in this research is
qualitative descriptive. Then, the theory adopted in this research is Morphology, especially word formation
which discusses the process of forming the words written by Marchand (1992) and McMannis (1998) as
the major theories. While, the theory of Product Naming Strategy is taken from Danesi (2004) as the
supporting one. The data used in this research are taken from media, both electronic and printed ones. The
results of this research show that product naming can employ word formation theory in order to describe
the kinds, characteristics, and the functions of the products. The word formation theories employed in this
research are blending, clipping, compounding and coinage. While the meaning analysis is based on lexical
meaning. By understanding the word formation process used as the product brand, consumers are able to
recognize the products. In addition, the product naming strategy also can help the company in establishing
the product brands and use it as the strategy of their product naming

The data to analyse are the words or phrases found in the CAPEK coloumn which contain word play. Thedocumentaion method was used in collecting data. The results show that, in making a word play, thewriter uses several systems of word formation rules, they are compounding, acronym, initialization, derivation, borrowing, inflection, clipping, and back formation. The word play in this coloumn isbackgrounded by different language motivations, such as phonetic, morfological, and semanticmotivation. The issues revealed are of politic, social, educational, and sport issues. The results alsoindicate the writer of of CAPEK coloumn uses reference deviation to reach his goal, that is, giving hiscritical opinion to certain situation
Word Formation Process on Kaskus
This research shows that there are word formation processes on Kaskusfor communications. The background of the research is that there are a lot of people who are confused when they visit Kaskusfor the first timebecause of the new words formed by the kaskusers. The purpose of this research is to describe the word formation processes that happen on Kaskus, so that the non-kaskuserswho visit Kaskus will have knowledge about the words the kaskusers talk about. Thetheoretical framework used in this research concerns word formation process as is proposed by some experts like O'Grady (1996), Katamba (1993), and Hatch and Brown (1995). This research is descriptive research and it uses qualitative approach. The data in this research are posts in 2015 and taken directly from Kaskus using documentation, observation and interview method. The writer also uses note-taking and SimakBebasLibatCakap(SBLC) technique to support the methods used in the research. The result of the research shows that there are some word formation processes used on Kaskus by kaskusers, such as reduplication, back formation, clipping, blending, compounding, derivation, borrowing, coinage, initialization, and conversion, and initialization process is quite productive among other processes found on Kaskus

Word formation in contemporary Liangmai: A morphological study
This paper attempts to discuss the different processes of word formation in contemporary Liangmai, a Tibeto-Burman (TB) language of the Kuki-Chin-Naga sub group (Bradley 1997). The language is spoken by around 50,000 speakers in the state of Manipur and Nagaland, in the northeastern part of India. This paper discusses a detailed description of the word formation processes that are relevant in Liangmai, namely affixation, compounding and reduplication. Like the other TB languages of the region, Liangmai is an agglutinative language in which almost all the syllable boundary corresponds to morpheme boundary. Most of the Liangmai words are monosyllabic. In the case of disyllabic/polysyllabic words, various morphemes which composed the word are easily segmentable
