Service quality has an important role in enhancing company performance. A key factor to win the competition lied in the company ability to make its costumer satisfy. Service quality has already become main focus for RSI Aisyiah, and the service quality enhancement is the most serious challenge that must be done in all sectors. In a tight competition and fast business environment changes, consistency in quality service is necessary to maintain superiority in competition, so the RSI WAFA Kepanjen performance could be enhanced. The objective of this research is to analyze influence the service quality, which consists of reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangible, on hospital performance. The number of sample is 78 from 350 respondents (Annual Data Report RSI Aisyiah, 2007), by purposive sampling technique. The respondent criteria are patients who had been hospitalized in RSI WAFA Kepanjen. Data were analyzed by multiple regression models.Result of research descriptively shows score mean obtained that reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangible dimensions have been well applied in RSI WAFA Kepanjen and in its marketing, which is indicated by costumer retention of RSI WAFA , is relatively high. The multiple regression analysis shows that the service quality has significant impact on marketing performance simultaneously in RSI WAFA Kepanjen and partially, all five dimensions of service quality have significant impact on marketing performance of RSI WAFA. It means that hospital performance can be obtained by maintaining service quality improvement. The improvement of hospital performance and patient satisfaction can be effectively done if all existing elements have a high commitment and loyalty to the company in maintaining service quality. Due to that reason, RSI WAFA Kepanjen need to apply proactive and partnership marketing in an effort to approach the costumer and by enhancing service quality could also give contribution on hospital performanc

Assessing the effect of statins in lowering the risk of stroke and preventing cerebral ischemia in patients with hypercholesterolemia

Numerous analyses have explored the role of statins in reducing stroke incidence, reducing cerebral ischemia in hypercholesterolemic patients, and preventing ischemic stroke. This paper aims to assess the effect of statins in lowering the risk of stroke and preventing cerebral ischemia in patients with hypercholesterolemia. To achieve this objective, the literature was reviewed, randomized control tests were analyzed, and a systematic review was performed. The risk of developing cerebral ischemia was found to be reduced in hypercholesterolemic patients and patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease. However, it is unknown whether this reduction in incidence is a result of the drug, which reduces low-density lipoprotein levels in the blood, or to statins’ pleotropic effects on the vascular endothelium. Since their discovery, statins have proven to be beneficial in controlling cholesterol blood levels. Moreover, statins have been shown to have pleotropic effects after a certain period of use, one of which is lowering ischemic stroke incidence in hypercholesterolemic patients. Most recently, statins have been found to lower systolic blood pressure. It is not yet clear whether it has a significant effect on mortality or whether or not it is linked to statins

Nonlinear dance motion analysis and motion editing using Hilbert-Huang transform

Human motions (especially dance motions) are very noisy, and it is hard to analyze and edit the motions. To resolve this problem, we propose a new method to decompose and modify the motions using the Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). First, HHT decomposes a chromatic signal into "monochromatic" signals that are the so-called Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) using an Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) [6]. After applying the Hilbert Transform to each IMF, the instantaneous frequencies of the "monochromatic" signals can be obtained. The HHT has the advantage to analyze non-stationary and nonlinear signals such as human-joint-motions over FFT or Wavelet transform. In the present paper, we propose a new framework to analyze and extract some new features from a famous Japanese threesome pop singer group called "Perfume", and compare it with Waltz and Salsa dance. Using the EMD, their dance motions can be decomposed into motion (choreographic) primitives or IMFs. Therefore we can scale, combine, subtract, exchange, and modify those IMFs, and can blend them into new dance motions self-consistently. Our analysis and framework can lead to a motion editing and blending method to create a new dance motion from different dance motions.Comment: 6 pages, 10 figures, Computer Graphics International 2017, Conference short pape

Copyright @ 2009 Elsevier B.V.Providing alert communication in emergency situations is vital to reduce the number of victims. Reaching this goal is challenging due to users’ diversity: people with disabilities, elderly and children, and other vulnerable groups. Notifications are critical when an emergency scenario is going to happen (e.g. a typhoon approaching) so the ability to transmit notifications to different kind of users is a crucial feature for such systems. In this work an ontology was developed by investigating different sources: accessibility guidelines, emergency response systems, communication devices and technologies, taking into account the different abilities of people to react to different alarms (e.g. mobile phone vibration as an alarm for deafblind people). We think that the proposed ontology addresses the information needs for sharing and integrating emergency notification messages over distinct emergency response information systems providing accessibility under different conditions and for different kind of users.Ministerio de Educación y Cienci

Trunk Inclination Estimate During the Sprint Start Using an Inertial Measurement Unit: A Validation Study

The proper execution of the sprint start is crucial in determining the performance during a sprint race. In this respect, when moving from the crouch to the upright position, trunk kinematics is a key element. The purpose of this study was to validate the use of a trunk-mounted inertial measurement unit (IMU) in estimating the trunk inclination and angular velocity in the sagittal plane during the sprint start. In-laboratory sprint starts were performed by five sprinters. The local acceleration and angular velocity components provided by the IMU were processed using an adaptive Kalman filter. The accuracy of the IMU inclination estimate and its consistency with trunk inclination were assessed using reference stereophotogrammetric measurements. A Bland-Altman analysis, carried out using parameters (minimum, maximum, and mean values) extracted from the time histories of the estimated variables, and curve similarity analysis (correlation coefficient > 0.99, root mean square difference < 7 deg) indicated the agreement between reference and IMU estimates, opening a promising scenario for an accurate in-field use of IMUs for sprint start performance assessment
