Escultura em espaços públicos: uma proposta para a cidade de Campo Grande - MS

This Final Course Work (TCC) in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul aims to create sculptures inserted in public spaces or open areas, reflecting the state of the soul/psyche of the visual artist when in a state of depression during the act of creating. The artistically chosen form of expression is sculpture, in this specific case, for the city of Campo Grande/MS. Since depression is a psychic state of emptiness and disconnection from the real world, I researched artists/sculptors around the world who work in public spaces with the notion of “emptiness”. As a result, I developed a proposal for a sculpture for the Parque das Nações Indígenas, near the main lake, where a human sculptural representation walks on a very narrow board, referring to the tightrope walker, that human being who is always on the edge and focused on not falling. To this end, I use my own life experience, as someone who lives with depression, to expose this uncomfortable and necessary topic for reflection in society through art.Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC) em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, tem por objetivo escultura inserida nos espaços públicos ou área aberta, refletir o estado da alma/psiquê do artista visual quando em estado de depressão no ato de sua criação. A forma de expressar, artisticamente escolhida, é a escultura, neste caso específico, para a cidade de Campo Grande/MS. Como a depressão é um estado psíquico de vazio e desconexão com o mundo real, procurei em pesquisas de artistas/escultores pelo mundo que trabalham em espaços públicos com a noção de “vazio”. Como resultado, desenvolvi uma proposta de escultura para o Parque das Nações Indígenas, próxima ao lago principal, onde uma representação escultórica humana caminha sobre uma prancha muito estreita, remetendo ao equilibrista, aquele ser humano que está sempre no limite e concentrado para não cair. Para tanto, utilizo minha própria experiência de vida, como alguém que convive com a depressão para expor esse tema tão incomodo e necessário para a reflexão em sociedade por meio da arte

Visita all'Osservatorio della Biodiversità marina e terrestre della Regione Sicilia - ORBS

Con il taglio inaugurale del nastro il 16 dicembre 2015, prende vita la struttura museale permanente dell'Osservatorio della Biodiversità marina e terrestre della Regione Sicilia che porta lo stesso nome del Progetto di Ricerca "ORBS – Sistema di comunicazione, informazione e diffusione dell'Osservatorio Regionale della Sicilia", intitolata il 21 dicembre 2018 al Dott. Sandro Fiorelli. Ad oggi, la struttura, è operativa presso la Sede Secondaria dell'Istituto per lo studio degli impatti Antropici e Sostenibilità in ambiente marino del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (IAS – CNR) di Capo Granitola. Il progetto ORBS, finanziato da Regione Siciliana - Assessorato alla Cooperazione, Commercio, Artigianato e Pesca - Dipartimento Pesca, con periodo di attività 2013 - 2015, si è concluso proprio con la realizzazione della struttura museale; l'Osservatorio è stato istituito dall'Assessorato del Territorio e dell'Ambiente della Regione Siciliana nell'ambito di un accordo quadro con ARPA, ISPRA e CNR. Grazie al progetto ORBS, docenti e allievi dell'Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo e il personale CNR – IAS (ex IAMC) S. S. di Capo Granitola, hanno collaborato sinergicamente permettendo di realizzare delle azioni didattiche e creative di valore scientifico espresse con straordinaria forza e bellezza. Ricercatori e professori si sono confrontati al fine di combinare le proprie competenze riuscendo nel progetto ambizioso di coinvolgere e fondere i diversi ambiti scientifici sensibilizzando gli artisti ai temi della Biodiversità. Le opere prodotte, corredate da schede scientifiche, hanno oltre al valore artistico un aggiunto valore didattico. L'apertura della sezione espositiva dedicata alla diffusione e alla comunicazione della biodiversità rappresenta da un lato l'importante tappa conclusiva del progetto, dall'altro l'inizio di un percorso mirato alla diffusione della biodiversità verso il mondo giovanile, le scuole e per tutto il territorio. Questa strepitosa collaborazione "CNR – Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo" conferma l'importanza e l'opportunità di unire arte e scienza per esaltare la percezione della ricerca scientifica da parte della comunità. La divulgazione della scienza è un'attività complessa e sicuramente necessita di competenze e attitudini multidisciplinari oltreché di motivazione ed entusiasmo. La comunicazione delle tematiche scientifiche, di per sé ardua nella traduzione al grande pubblico, grazie alla forza esplicativa dell'arte, diviene opportunità di riflessione, osservazione, confronto per le comunità di visitatori. Il coordinamento delle visite delle scuole di ogni ordine e grado, Enti Pubblici, Comunità Scientifica, Cariche Istituzionali, Delegazioni di Politici Italiani e Stranieri, Associazioni Culturali, Associazioni No-Profit di Volontariato, Associazioni di Promozione Sociale, Organizzazioni di Volontariato, Onlus, pubblico in generale, presso ORBS, è affidato al qualificato personale (tecnici, tecnologi e ricercatori) dell'IAS – CNR S. S. di Capo Granitola, che gestisce in prima persona i visitatori nel percorso didattico e promuove il valore della divulgazione scientifica perseguendo la terza missione degli Enti di Ricerca, attraverso l'applicazione diretta, la valorizzazione e l'impiego della conoscenza

Impactos da microgeração fotovoltaica nas redes de distribuição de energia elétrica

The influence of the insertion of mini and micro generation in the electricity distribution networks, both from an electrical point of view and from the point of view of incurred costs, are still underestimated by electricity distributors. In the current scenario of regulation in the electricity sector, much has been done to make distributed generation sources viable, especially solar, and little attention has been paid to the real impacts they bring on the distribution network. Thus, the present work, using the methodology presented by CEMIG energy distribution, in its Research and Development (R&D) project and the studies developed in the R&D project Tariff Structure of the Company Luz e Força Santa Maria - Santa Maria, sought to show the real impacts incurred by the distributors, when installing generation systems distributed in the energy networks, without due study of the electrical and economic impact of their installation. This work simulated the growth of the insertion of photovoltaic microgeneration in the distribution networks of Santa Maria, using the most probable scenario and, thus, predicted the impacts to the networks and the costs of the distributor.A influência da inserção de mini e microgeração nas redes de distribuição de energia elétrica, tanto do ponto de vista elétrico como do ponto de vista dos custos incorridos, ainda é pouco avaliada pelas distribuidoras de energia elétrica. No cenário atual da regulação do setor de energia elétrica, muito tem sido feito no sentido de tornar viáveis as fontes de geração distribuída, em especial a solar, e pouca atenção tem sido dada aos reais impactos que essas trazem na rede de distribuição. Assim, o presente trabalho, utilizando-se de metodologia apresentada pela CEMIG Distribuição, em seu projeto de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento (P&D) e os estudos desenvolvidos no projeto de P&D Estrutura Tarifária da Empresa Luz e Força Santa Maria – Santa Maria, buscou mostrar os reais impactos incorridos pelas distribuidoras, quando da instalação de sistemas de geração distribuídas nas redes de energia, sem o devido estudo do impacto elétrico e econômico de sua instalação. Este trabalho simulou o crescimento da inserção da microgeração fotovoltaica nas redes de distribuição da Santa Maria, utilizando-se do cenário mais provável e, assim, previu os impactos às redes a aos custos da distribuidora

Seres quiméricos além do simbolismo

Monografia (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, Departamento de Artes Visuais, 2013.Nesta monografia, abordo minha pesquisa prático-teórica baseada em conhecimentos a respeito de representações antropozoomórficas, cuja inspiração artística vem de animais. Baseando-me nesses seres quiméricos da pré-história a atualidade, apresentarei os meus dentro das etapas de construção abordando referências (arte e entretenimento), processos, exemplos, contextos e resultados. Relatarei a origem do termo quimera, que se tornara sinônimo de híbrido e nome genérico dado a todo tipo de ser misto. Esclarecerei os termos biológicos: híbrido, transgênico, espécie e raça. Apresentarei novas propostas anatômicas, o processo e resultado de três seres modelados em 3D, e a elaboração de doze imagens que propõem contextualizações diversas. Mostrarei como esses seres podem estar vivos, e por fim, crio um diálogo filosófico entre dois animais humanoides. O principal foco desta monografia, além da criação de híbridos, é revelar o quanto os animais constituem um grande referencial de inspiração artística e que os seres quiméricos devem estar apenas no imaginário e na ficção (não vivos). ___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis study provides theoretical and practical research based in anthropozoomorphic representations, whose artistic inspiration comes from animals. Based on chimerical beings from prehistory to nowadays, chimerical beings from the author were presented with approach to references (art and entertainment), procedures, examples, situations and results. The origin of the term chimera, defined as a synonym for hybrid and a generic name given to all hybrid beings, is presented, followed by the explanation of biological terms “hybrid”, “transgenic”, “species”, and “breed”. New anatomical propositions, procedures and results from three 3D modeling beings and twelve images proposing different situations were also shown. Finally, this study presented a situation on how these beings could be part of real live and a philosophical dialogue between two humanoid animals. The objective of this research, in addition to the creation of hybrid beings, was to demonstrate the influence animals have in artistic inspiration and that chimerical beings must only exist in imagination and in fiction – not in real life

A produção de histórias em quadrinhos independentes brasileiras no contexto potiguar

The following research focuses on approaching the history of aspects of comic books design in Brazil and in the world, going through some of their styles and trying to point and understand the Brazilian comic book market, more precisely in the city of Natal-RN. Made with a bibliographic, qualitative, quantitative, and exploratory character, the research resulted from a survey of books and data that explore content related to comic books and Design, elucidating origin, styles, elements, genres, techniques, and professionals from the most diverse areas that work with comic books. This research was used as a basis for the creation of an authorial and independent comic, made according to the data collected through the books, websites, and interviews with comic artists and with the target audience.O presente trabalho é focado em levantar o histórico de aspectos do Design dos quadrinhos no Brasil e no mundo, passando por alguns estilos deles e tentando pontuar e compreender o mercado de HQs independentes brasileiras, mais precisamente na cidade de Natal-RN. Feita com caráter bibliográfico, qualitativo, quantitativo e exploratório, a pesquisa se resultou de um levantamento de livros e dados que exploram conteúdos relacionados a quadrinhos e a Design, elucidando origem, estilos, elementos, gêneros, técnicas e profissionais das mais diversas áreas que atuam com HQs. Essa pesquisa foi usada como base para a confecção de um quadrinho autoral e independente feito de acordo com os dados coletados através de livros, sites e das entrevistas feitas com quadrinistas e com o público-alvo

Der Italo-Western

Die Diplomarbeit widmet sich dem Genre des sog. Spaghettiwestern bzw. Italo-Western, das in Italien in den Sechziger und Siebziger Jahren große Erfolge feierte. Dabei werden die Charakteristika dieser Filme anhand der einflussreichsten Werke zweier Regisseure erschlossen, die das Genre maßgeblich prägten - Sergio Leone und Sergio Corbucci. Im Zentrum der Analyse stehen nicht nur Stil und Ästhetik der Filme, sondern auch die Kontroversen rund um sie, wie etwa die Vorwürfe der Gewaltverherrlichung oder der Misogynie.The master thesis offers an analysis of the Italian movie genre famous as the spaghetti-western which was widely popular in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century. The characteristics, the style and the innovations of this genre are examined by looking at some of the most influential movies by two of the genre's most famous directors, Sergio Leone and Sergio Corbucci. The focus of the analysis lies not only in the description of the origins, directors, actors,producers or locations of the genre but also in the more controversial aspects of some of these movies like their sometimes graphic use of violence or their ambiguous dipiction of female characters

Augmented reality applied to language translation

Being a tourist in a foreign country is an adventure full of memories and experiences, but it can be truly challenging when it comes to communication. Finding yourself in an unknown place, where all the road signs and guidelines have such different characters, may end up in a dead end or with some unexpected results. Then, what if we could use a smartphone to read that restaurant menu? Or even find the right department in a mall? The applications are so many and the market is ready to invest and give opportunities to creative and economic ideas. The dissertation intends to explore the field of Augmented Reality, while helping the user to enrich his view with information. Giving the ability to look around, detect the text in the surroundings and read its translation in our own dialect, is a great step to overcome language issues. Moreover, using smartphones at anyone’s reach, or wearing smartglasses that are even less intrusive, gives a chance to engage a complex matter in a daily routine. This technology requires flexible, accurate and fast Optical Character Recognition and Translation systems, in an Internet of Things scenery. Quality and precision is a must, yet to be further developed and improved. Entering in a realtime digital data environment, will support great causes and aid the progress and evolution of many intervention areas
