The Rhetorical Discourse Revealing The Indonesians Characters

    Get PDF
Indonesia comprises of many tribes and language spreading all over its islands from Sabang to Merauki. The tribes and their languages are unique symbolizing that they are heterogeneous society who live in a place named Indonesia. They live in harmony and they are happy being Indonesians. This can happen because they have one motto unity in diversity (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika) and a sacred symbol of five principles Pancasila. The symbol of Pancasila and a motto unity in diversity motivate the world to see the unique and harmonious country and its people. What are the real characters of Indonesian and how they are represented in the rhetorical discourse presented by formal speech of president of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo in delivering speech on Pancasila Day 1 June 2017. This article wants to elaborates the characters of Indonesians and the way they are presented in the discourse. This article uses critical discourse of analysis and systemic functional linguistic. This article uses critical discourse analysis and the systemic functional linguistic because the discourse being release is not appearing without any sense. There is a background which escorting the releasing of this discourse. This article finds out that Indonesians have to return to their real original characteristic, such as gotong Royong (supporting each other), Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (unity and diversity) and toleransi (tolerance). They are folded within Pancasila (five principles). Theseidentifications of characteristic are released because the values of Pancasila have been neglected by many group of people after reformation era. As examples are the tolerance is decreasing, the unity in diversity has been disturbed by the existence of other ideology in which it is contradictory to Pancasila. This article found out that there are thre domain idenification of the Indonesian peole that shuld be reestablished. They are supporting each other, unity in diversity and the tolence. They become the pride of the Indonesians and they become the examplary nation which applies the high tolerance among its people. The depicted identifications are clearly stated in the official speech presented by President Joko Widodo in the celebration of Pancasila day 2017. Key words: supporting each other, tolerance, unity and diversity, discourse

Shocks in non-loaded bead chains with impurities

We numerically investigate the problem of the propagation of a shock in an horizontal non-loaded granular chain with a bead interaction force exponent varying from unity to large values. When α\alpha is close to unity we observed a cross-over between a nonlinearity-dominated regime and a solitonic one, the latest being the final steady state of the propagating wave. In the case of large values of α\alpha the deformation field given by the numerical simulations is completely different from the one obtained by analytical calculation. In the following we studied the interaction of these shock waves with a mass impurity placed in the bead chain. Two different physical pictures emerge whether we consider a light or a heavy impurity mass. The scatter of the shock wave with a light impurity yields damped oscillations of the impurity which then behave as a solitary wave source. Differently an heavy impurity is just shifted by the shock and the transmitted wave loses its solitonic character being fragmented into waves of decreasing amplitudes.Comment: 9 pages, 18 figures, Accepted in European Physical Journal

The Proton Elastic Form Factor Ratio at Low Momentum Transfer

High precision measurements of the proton elastic form factor ratio have been made at four-momentum transfers, Q^2, between 0.2 and 0.5 GeV^2. The new data, while consistent with previous results, clearly show a ratio less than unity and significant differences from the central values of several recent phenomenological fits. By combining the new form-factor ratio data with an existing cross-section measurement, one finds that in this Q^2 range the deviation from unity is primarily due to GEp being smaller than the dipole parameterization.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure

q-Ultraspherical polynomials for q a root of unity

Properties of the qq-ultraspherical polynomials for qq being a primitive root of unity are derived using a formalism of the soq(3)so_q(3) algebra. The orthogonality condition for these polynomials provides a new class of trigonometric identities representing discrete finite-dimensional analogs of qq-beta integrals of Ramanujan.Comment: 7 pages, LATE

Anselm’s argument : on the unity of thinking and being

    Get PDF
In this article, I argue that at the root of the ‘ontological’ argument lies the notion that the idea of God is truth: in the idea of God, the meaning of the concept and the reality of the Being actually converge; the idea of God is God. After looking at a number of thinkers whose philosophical method is reminiscent of Anselm's I conclude that, while Anselm did not furnish a conclusive proof of the necessary existence of God, his argument shows how the question of the existence of God is one and the same with the question of the intelligibility and coherence of God and with the question of the intelligibility and coherence of reality.peer-reviewe

    Fuzzy Torus via q-Parafermion

We note that the recently introduced fuzzy torus can be regarded as a q-deformed parafermion. Based on this picture, classification of the Hermitian representations of the fuzzy torus is carried out. The result involves Fock-type representations and new finite dimensional representations for q being a root of unity as well as already known finite dimensional ones.Comment: 12pages, no figur

Models with higher weak-isospin Higgs multiplets

In order for scale factors κV (V=W,Z)\kappa_{V}^{}~(V=W,Z) of the 125-GeV Higgs boson couplings to have the possibilities of being greater than unity and κWκZ\kappa_{W}^{} \neq \kappa_{Z}^{} while keeping the electroweak ρ\rho parameter unity at tree level, the Higgs sector must be extended with at least two exotic SU(2)LSU(2)_L multiplets in addition to the doublet Higgs field in the Standard Model. By the requirements of perturbative unitarity, no Landau pole in gauge couplings, and no accidental global U(1)U(1) symmetry, we exhaust all the possible combinations of two exotic Higgs fields and derive general formulas for κV\kappa_{V}^{}. We find that the current central values κW=1.12\kappa_W^{}=1.12 and κZ=0.99\kappa_Z = 0.99 reported by CMS can be accommodated in the model with a complex and a real Higgs triplets as the simplest example.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure
