    Automated Termination Proofs for Logic Programs by Term Rewriting

    There are two kinds of approaches for termination analysis of logic programs: "transformational" and "direct" ones. Direct approaches prove termination directly on the basis of the logic program. Transformational approaches transform a logic program into a term rewrite system (TRS) and then analyze termination of the resulting TRS instead. Thus, transformational approaches make all methods previously developed for TRSs available for logic programs as well. However, the applicability of most existing transformations is quite restricted, as they can only be used for certain subclasses of logic programs. (Most of them are restricted to well-moded programs.) In this paper we improve these transformations such that they become applicable for any definite logic program. To simulate the behavior of logic programs by TRSs, we slightly modify the notion of rewriting by permitting infinite terms. We show that our transformation results in TRSs which are indeed suitable for automated termination analysis. In contrast to most other methods for termination of logic programs, our technique is also sound for logic programming without occur check, which is typically used in practice. We implemented our approach in the termination prover AProVE and successfully evaluated it on a large collection of examples.Comment: 49 page

    This study aimed to examine the effect of transformational leadership to employees performance at PT Bank Mega Syariah Palembang. The sample used in this study were 39 employees with sensus method. Hypothesis tested using linear regression analysis with program assistance SPSS 17.0. The test results stated that the contribution of transformational leadership and employee performance at 8,1%. While the remaining 91,9% is influenced by other variables that is not included in this study. The test results indicate that the value of significantly smaller than 0,05. The hypothesis test states that transformational leadership is having positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at PT Bank Mega Syariah Palembang

    Acceptability with general orderings

    We present a new approach to termination analysis of logic programs. The essence of the approach is that we make use of general orderings (instead of level mappings), like it is done in transformational approaches to logic program termination analysis, but we apply these orderings directly to the logic program and not to the term-rewrite system obtained through some transformation. We define some variants of acceptability, based on general orderings, and show how they are equivalent to LD-termination. We develop a demand driven, constraint-based approach to verify these acceptability-variants. The advantage of the approach over standard acceptability is that in some cases, where complex level mappings are needed, fairly simple orderings may be easily generated.     The background of this research is the implementation of the occupational safety and health program and leadership style at PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Timur Area Malang. The objective of research is to explain the effect of the variables work safety program, work health program, transformational teadership style, transactional leadership style simultaneously and partially on the variable employee work motivation. The sample in this research was 60 employee by using saturated sampling. Data analysis in this research used descriptive statistical analysis and multiple liniers regression analysis by hypothesis test. Based on the result there is a significant influence of the work safety program, work health program, leadership style transformational, and leadership style transactional to the work motivation of the empolyees simultaneously and partially at PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Timur Area Malang. Variable work health program has dominance impact to the work motivation of the employees

    This research aims to analyze and explain the influence of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Transformational Leadership on Job Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior and the influence of transformational leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with explanatory research type. This research was conducted on teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono with a total of 64 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out by interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses a range of scales and path analysis with the SmartPLS Version 4.0 computer program. The results of this research show that the Organizational Citizenship Behavior scale range is in the high category, Transformational Leadership is in the good category and Job Satisfaction is in the satisfied category. Transformational Leadership has no significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Transformational Leadership has a significant effect on Job Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction has a significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and Job Satisfaction mediates the effect of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior

    Transformational and Transformative Leadership in a Research-Informed Leadership Preparation Program

    This article describes IMPACT V, a grant-funded preparation partnership among a community of institutions, and then considers whether such a partnership is a viable way to cultivate transformational and transformative sensibilities in building leaders. Methods included content analysis of baseline and summative student artifacts. Findings suggest that the program promoted elements of transformational leadership, as well as transformative leadership focused on liberation, democracy, equity, and justice. The program promoted school change and cultivated leadership and personal growth but suffered from unevenness in the program partnerships. Implications for leadership preparation are considered

    The Influence of Transformational Leadership, Interpersonal Communication, and Organizational Conflict On Organizational Effectiveness

    This study investigated whether the effect correlation exists between the Transformational Leadership, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Conflict and Organizational Effectiveness in dayah in Aceh. Data were collected by questionnaires by 90 teachers in 3 pesantren, analysis using Path Analysis. The study found that the transformational leadership was most frequently employed, followed by the interpersonal communication, and then organizational conflict. The study found a positive effect transformational leadership, interpersonal communication and organizational conflict towards organizational effectiveness. Finally, organizational effectiveness differed according to leadership and communication factors. Suggestions from this research are there is a need to develop the organizational effectiveness by attitude, motivation and technology in utilizing existing resources in the pesantren, dayah program and unit program. Findings of this study also open a new area of research on dayah principalship, performance, and effectiveness in the Aceh Government

    The Effect of Transformational Leadership on Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Program on Community Welfare with Community Participation as a Moderating Variable in 30 Villages of Banjarnegara Regency

    Leadership is an important thing needed by organizational management to achieve common goals. Leadership is also needed in the Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) program. This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on the Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) program on community welfare with community participation as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach. The study was conducted in 30 villages in Banjarnegara Regency. Sampling in this study using convenience sampling technique. The data of this study were obtained from questionnaires filled out by respondents. The data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership has a negative effect on people's welfare. Community participation is not a moderator in terms of the relationship between transformational leadership and community well-being. The conclusion of this study is that the leadership of the Village Head in BUMDes is more active in order to provide welfare for the community.
