    Top LHCb Physics

We suggest that top physics can be studied at the LHCb experiment, and that top production could be observed. Since LHCb covers a large pseudorapidity region in the forward direction, it has unique abilities to probe new physics in the top sector. Furthermore, we demonstrate that LHCb may be able to measure a t\bar t production rate asymmetry, and thus indirectly probe an anomalous forward backward t\bar t asymmetry in the forward region; a possibility suggested by the enhanced forward-backward asymmetry reported by the CDF experiment.Comment: References added, checked that the Wt background is negligibl

    Top Quark Physics

A review is presented of the current experimental status of the top quark sector of the standard model. The measurements summarized include searches for electroweak single top production, the latest results on the ttbar production cross section, and searches for new physics in top quark production and decay. In addition, the recent measurement of the top quark mass to a precision of 0.7% is highlightedComment: 10 pages, 10 figures. Proceedings for 34th International Conference on High Energy Physic

    Top Physics in WHIZARD

In this talk we summarize the top physics setup in the event generator WHIZARD with a main focus on lepton colliders. This includes full six-, eight- and ten-fermion processes, factorized processes and spin correlations. For lepton colliders, QCD NLO processes for top quark physics are available and will be discussed. A special focus is on the top-quark pair threshold, where a special implementation combines a non-relativistic effective field theory calculation augmented by a next-to-leading threshold logarithm resummation with a continuum relativistic fixed-order QCD NLO simulation.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, Talk presented at the International Workshop on Future Linear Colliders (LCWS15), Whistler, Canada, 2-6 November 201

These proceedings summarize the latest measurements on top production, top properties and searches using the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The measurements are performed on pppp collision data with a center of mass energy s=7,8\sqrt{s} = 7, 8 and 1313 TeV.Comment: 17th Lomonosov Conference. 4 pages,3 figure

This talk summarizes recent progress in top quark physics studies for high energy linear electron-positron colliders as presented at the LCWS2000 Workshop at Fermilab. New results were presented for top pair production at threshold and in the continuum, as well as for top production at γγ\gamma\gamma colliders.Comment: 7 pages, Latex, uses aipproc.sty; plenary talk presented at Linear Collider Workshop 2000, Fermilab, Batavia, IL, Oct. 24--28, 200

Physics objects for top quark physics in ATLAS

Top quark physics measurements performed using data from the ATLAS detector at the LHC rely on efficient reconstruction and precise calibration of leptons, jets and missing transverse energy. A review of the techniques used to reconstruct such objects is given, with an emphasis on the uncertainties achieved for energy calibration and efficiency measurements, illustrated with their impact on key top quark physics results.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, proceedings of Top2016 conferenc

    Top Physics at the LHC

Top quark physics will be a prominent topic in Standard Model physics at the LHC. The enormous amount of top quarks expected to be produced will allow to perform a wide range of precision measurements. An overview of the planned top physics programme of the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC is given.Comment: Contribution to the Conference Proceedings of the "XXXXth Rencontres de Moriond, QCD and High Energy Hadronic Interactions, La Thuile, March 12-19, 2005
