In the Universe of Development Economics, Social Development is represented by Endogenous Circle linking Domestic Technology with Domestic Human Potential (Technical Infrastructure) & Economic Development is represented by Exogenous Circle linking Domestic Investment with Domestic Saving Potential (Entrepreneurial Background). Both these Circles are to be Integrated and Synchronised for Optimum Socio-Economic Development. This Geometric Model is presented in 2 Parts as ;- Part 1 : Background to Design a Model. Part 2 : Geometric Model design and Solution =========================================================== CONCEPTS DERIVED :- 01. DOMESTIC INVESTMENTS THROUGH DOMESTIC SAVINGS – EXOGENOUS CIRCLE. (INDIVIDUAL / CORPORATE / GOVERNMENT, EVEN THOUGH FOREIGN TO START WITH) 02. DOMESTIC HUMAN POTENTIAL TO MAN THE DOMESTIC TECHNOLOGY - ENDOGENOUS CIRCLE. (LATEST TECHNOLOGY MODERATED TO SUIT LOCAL ENVIRONMENTS). 03. SYNCHRONISE EXOGENOUS AND ENDOGENOUS CIRCLES & OPTIMISE THEIR DIMENSIONS. Universallly Applicable to All Developed/Developing/Under-Developed Nations. ============================================================ These Concepts and the Inferences are supported with a number of Geometric derivations, Bibliography, Diagrams, International Experience supports, Opinions of the viewers, Schematics and Slide show in the Author’s Website : www.drvsrs.comDevelopment Acceleration, Economic Development, Developed, Developing, Ecometric Model, Investment, Manpower, Savings, Social development, Socio-Economic Development, Technology, Under Developed

Territory, sustainability and design : From traceability to the upgrade of production waste

Design is the discipline capable of interpreting technical, economic, social and cultural transformations, coming into close contact with the concrete dimension of the territorial context and acting on the processes of competitive enhancement of single companies and of local business systems. Starting from these premises and with the purpose of allowing the territory to absorb values such as sustainability, identity and brand recognition strategies, the envisioned change — beyond the project level — is cultural. Two research projects dedicated to the integration of good practices for sustainability in the territorial context of Veneto demonstrate how a virtuous circle can be implemented starting from the concept of dedicated tracking systems for companies up to the design for a sustainable management of waste. This positive process consists of new relationships and active exchanges of skills, bringing to light those already existing. In this way, the profound meaning of belonging to a cultural identity is integrated into the planned development of companie

Reason Against the Machine: Future Directions for Mass Online Deliberation

Designers of online deliberative platforms aim to counter the degrading quality of online debates. Support technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing open avenues for widening the circle of people involved in deliberation, moving from small groups to "crowd" scale. Numerous design features of large-scale online discussion systems allow larger numbers of people to discuss shared problems, enhance critical thinking, and formulate solutions. We review the transdisciplinary literature on the design of digital mass deliberation platforms and examine the commonly featured design aspects (e.g., argumentation support, automated facilitation, and gamification) that attempt to facilitate scaling up. We find that the literature is largely focused on developing technical fixes for scaling up deliberation, but may neglect the more nuanced requirements of high quality deliberation. Current design research is carried out with a small, atypical segment of the world's population, and much research is still needed on how to facilitate and accommodate different genders or cultures in deliberation, how to deal with the implications of pre-existing social inequalities, how to build motivation and self-efficacy in certain groups, and how to deal with differences in cognitive abilities and cultural or linguistic differences. Few studies bridge disciplines between deliberative theory, design and engineering. As a result, scaling up deliberation will likely advance in separate systemic siloes. We make design and process recommendations to correct this course and suggest avenues for future researchComment: Adjusting title and abstract to arxiv metadat

Planned Behavior Typologies of Agricultural Education Teacher Educators Regarding Service Learning as a Method of Instruction: A National Mixed Methods Study

This study sought to understand the service-learning beliefs and intentions of agricultural education teacher educators. We collected quantitative data through a web-based survey instrument and course syllabi. Variables yielding statistically significant relationships were analyzed using cluster analysis, which produced three unique clusters operationalized as typologies representing the planned behaviors of teacher educators regarding service learning. For example, the Optimistically Unaware expressed positive beliefs about the method, but did not understand how to integrate service learning in their teaching methods courses. Meanwhile, the Policy-Focused Decision Makers used established education policy as anchors when navigating decisions, such as whether to feature service learning in their courses. Service-Learning Implementers espoused strong beliefs about the method’s potential while also emphasizing how it could be used to enrich the preparation of agriculture teachers. Results point to the potential service learning holds if integrated as a complement to teacher preparation rather than an addition to current practice

Revealing the Vicious Circle of Disengaged User Acceptance: A SaaS Provider's Perspective

User acceptance tests (UAT) are an integral part of many different software engineering methodologies. In this paper, we examine the influence of UATs on the relationship between users and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, which are continuously delivered rather than rolled out during a one-off signoff process. Based on an exploratory qualitative field study at a multinational SaaS provider in Denmark, we show that UATs often address the wrong problem in that positive user acceptance may actually indicate a negative user experience. Hence, SaaS providers should be careful not to rest on what we term disengaged user acceptance. Instead, we outline an approach that purposefully queries users for ambivalent emotions that evoke constructive criticism, in order to facilitate a discourse that favors the continuous innovation of a SaaS system. We discuss theoretical and practical implications of our approach for the study of user engagement in testing SaaS applications
