The Effect of English Camp Program in Public Speaking of STKIP Al Maksum Students
The objective of the research is to improve speaking skill of English House Course students through English camp strategy. This was an pre-experimental research using one group on pre-test and post-test design, the population of this research was the students of English House Course which has 80 students. Because the total number of the population was big enough, the researcher took 20 samples and applied random sampling technique; it means that one class of the population were taken as samples and the data was analyzed into percentage, mean score analyzes and the value of the t-test. The result of the data analyzes shows that the studentsâ achievement on the pre-test was 71,7 and post-test was 86,1. This shows that English camp is a good strategy in English learning process at the students of English House Course Langkat. After analyzing the data by using the t-test formula, the result of the t-test value (11,86) was greater than t-table value (2,093). This indicated that the hypothesis of research is accepted. There is a significant Influence of English camp program towards the studentsâ achievement in English learning process. The researcher does English camp in English House Course Langkat Kabupaten Enrekang for five days and it gives positive effect of studentsâ skill in speaking. All item of learning achievement able to improve the studentsâ speaking skill.

An Analysis of STKIP AL MAKSUM Students' Attitude Towards Native and Non Native English Speaking Teachers
There was an argument that native English teachers have many advantages than non-native English teachers and students preferred native to non-native teachers; however, the argument had to be assessed. Many researchers had been exploring studentsâ perceptions of native and non-native English teachers worldwide in formal education institutions. This study aimed to explore studentsâ perceptions of native and non-native English teachers in a non-formal education institution. This was a qualitative study based on a descriptive approach conducted using three instruments: close-ended questionnaire, semi-structured interview, and documentation. The study revealed that native and non- native English teachers had their own specific roles in the Indonesian context. Students needed native more than non-native teachers because the latter were bilingual having the same mother tongue as them, and they enabled a successful learning process because of the effective learning strategies they shared. Also, non-native teachers helped students deal with difficulties and challenges in their learning process

Implementation Of Quizizz-Based Learning Media In General English Lessons In The Stkip Al Maksum Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program
This study investigates the utilization or implementation of Quizizz, an internet-based questionnaire platform, as an instructional tool for general English courses in the STKIP AL Maksum Primary School Teacher Education Study Program. The objective of this study is to examine the media planning procedure, its execution, and the determinants that impact the utilization of Quizizz. This study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology and collects data through triangulation techniques, including documentation, interviews, and observation. Quizizz is a game-based learning platform that enhances student engagement and offers adaptable assessment alternatives, according to the literature review. The results of studies indicate that Quizizz has a beneficial impact on student motivation by enhancing the relevance and interest of the learning process. In spite of this, obstacles associated with technological infrastructure must be taken into account in order to achieve maximum efficacy. This study enhances comprehension regarding the incorporation of technology in English education, placing particular emphasis on the significance of cutting-edge learning tools like Quizizz in contemporary educational advancements.

Exploring Interactive and Innovative Learning Media in EFL Classroom: A Students' Perspective
The study on the shift to online learning in English language education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study examines the perceptions of twenty English Department students from STKIP Al Maksum regarding the use of interactive applications, particularly Kahoot, in their learning. A quantitative survey with a ten-item questionnaire was employed to gather data. The findings suggest that students perceive Kahoot as enhancing their enjoyment, learning perception, effectiveness, and motivation. The study concludes that applications like Kahoot and Quizzes contribute to increased student activity in language classes and highlights the need for further research on their impact on critical thinking, engagement, and educational outcomes
The Students' Grammatical Mistakes in Writing Narrative Text
Students made errors in writing narrative text. Two reasons why students made errors were because less grammar mastery and confuses to differentiate the verb. This writing is to find out the grammatical errors. The method of research is descriptive quantitative. The process of data is analyzed by reading studentsâ writing first, identifying, classification, tabulating, describing, and taking conclusion about the errors. After analyzing the data, it was found that students made errors in omission, addition, misformation, and misordering categories. The highest frequency of item error was in using a verb tense with a total of 61 errors. Meanwhile, the lowest frequency of item errors was in using adverbs and adjective with a total of 6 errors. The total of the errors was 204.

Cluster Abell 520: a perspective based on member galaxies. A cluster forming at the crossing of three filaments?
The connection of cluster mergers with the presence of extended, diffuse
radio sources in galaxy clusters is still debated. An interesting case is the
rich, merging cluster Abell 520, containing a radio halo. A recent
gravitational analysis has shown in this cluster the presence of a massive dark
core suggested to be a possible problem for the current cold dark matter
paradigm.
We aim to obtain new insights into the internal dynamics of Abell 520
analyzing velocities and positions of member galaxies.
Our analysis is based on redshift data for 293 galaxies in the cluster field
obtained combining new redshift data for 86 galaxies acquired at the TNG with
data obtained by CNOC team and other few data from the literature. We also use
new photometric data obtained at the INT telescope. We combine galaxy
velocities and positions to select 167 cluster members around z~0.201. We
analyze the cluster structure using the weighted gap analysis, the KMM method,
the Dressler-Shectman statistics and the analysis of the velocity dispersion
profiles. We compare our results with those from X-ray, radio and gravitational
lensing analyses.
We find that Abell 520 is definitely a very complex system. Our results
suggest that we are looking at a cluster forming at the crossing of three
filaments of the large scale structure. In particular, we detect a filament
aligned with the LOS and projected onto the center of the forming cluster. It
might explain the apparent massive dark core shown by gravitational lensing

NoSOCS in SDSS. I. Sample Definition and Comparison of Mass Estimates
We use Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) data to investigate galaxy cluster
properties of systems first detected within DPOSS. With the high quality
photometry of SDSS we derived new photometric redshifts and estimated richness
and optical luminosity. For a subset of low redshift () clusters, we
have used SDSS spectroscopic data to identify groups in redshift space in the
region of each cluster, complemented with massive systems from the literature
to assure the continuous mass sampling. A method to remove interlopers is
applied, and a virial analysis is performed resulting in estimates of velocity
dispersion, mass, and a physical radius for each low- system. We discuss the
choice of maximum radius and luminosity range in the dynamical analysis,
showing that a spectroscopic survey must be complete to at least M if one
wishes to obtain accurate and unbiased estimates of velocity dispersion and
mass. We have measured X-ray luminosity for all clusters using archival data
from RASS. For a smaller subset (twenty-one clusters) we selected temperature
measures from the literature and estimated mass from the M-T relation,
finding that they show good agreement with the virial estimate. However, these
two mass estimates tend to disagree with the caustic results. We measured the
presence of substructure in all clusters of the sample and found that clusters
with substructure have virial masses higher than those derived from T. This
trend is not seen when comparing the caustic and X-ray masses. That happens
because the caustic mass is estimated directly from the mass profile, so it is

Study of isotopic fractions and abundances of the neutron-capture elements in HD 175305
The chemical abundances of metal-poor stars are excellent sources of
information for setting new constraints on models of Galactic chemical
evolution at low metallicities. In this paper we present an attempt to fit the
elemental abundances observed in the bright, metal-poor giant HD 175305, and
derive isotopic fractions using a parametric model. The observed abundances can
be wellmatched by the combined contributions froms- and r-processmaterial. The
component coefficients of the r- and s-processes are C1 = 3.220 and C3 = 1.134,
respectively. The Smisotopic fraction in this star where the observed
neutron-capture elements are produced is predicted to be f 152+154 =0.582,which
suggests that, even though the r-process is predominantly responsible for the
synthesis of the neutron-capture elements in the early Galaxy, the onset of the
s-process had already occurred at this metallicity of [Fe/H] = -1.6
The barium isotopic mixture for the metal-poor subgiant star HD140283
Current theory regarding heavy element nucleosynthesis in metal-poor
environments states that the r-process would be dominant. The star HD140283 has
been the subject of debate after it appeared in some studies to be dominated by
the s-process. We provide an independent measure of the Ba isotope mixture in
HD140283 using an extremely high quality spectrum and an extensive chi^2
analysis. We exploit hyperfine splitting of the BaII 4554 \AA\ and 4934 \AA\
resonance lines in an effort to constrain the isotope ratio in 1D LTE. Using
the code ATLAS in conjunction with KURUCZ06 model atmospheres we analyse 93 Fe
lines to determine the star's macroturbulence. With this information we
construct a grid of Ba synthetic spectra and, using a \chi^2 code, fit these to
our observed data to determine the isotopic ratio, fodd, which represents the
ratio of odd to even isotopes. We also analyse the Eu lines. We set a new upper
limit of the rotation of HD140283 at vsin{i}\leq3.9\kms, a new upper limit on
[Eu/H] < -2.80 and abundances [Fe/H] = -2.59\pm0.09, [Ba/H] = -3.46\pm0.11.
This leads to a new lower limit on [Ba/Eu] > -0.66. We find that, in the
framework of a 1D LTE analysis, the isotopic ratios of Ba in HD140283 indicate
fodd=0.02\pm0.06, a purely s-process signature. This implies that observations
and analysis do not validate currently accepted theory. We speculate that a 1D
code, due to simplifying assumptions, is not adequate when dealing with
observations with high levels of resolution and S/N because of the turbulent
motions associated with a 3D stellar atmosphere. New approaches to analysing
isotopic ratios, in particular 3D hydrodynamics, need to be considered when
dealing with the levels of detail required to properly determine them. However
published 3D results exacerbate the disagreement between theory and

Developing Students' Activity Through Role Play Method By Using Interview Technique on 11th Grade at SMA Melati Binjai North Sumatera Province

By immersing students in these role-play scenarios, the approach transcends the boundaries of conventional learning, facilitating a profound comprehension of the subject matter through active participation.The intricate role-play exercises outlined within the paper are characterized by their intricate design, ensuring students' active involvement in the learning process. These exercises are strategically developed to propel students beyond the confines of textual analysis, encouraging them to delve into experiential learning. By propelling students to think beyond the mere words they encounter in reading materials, the exercises stimulate critical thinking and creative problem-solving. Furthermore, the experiential nature of the exercises provides a secure environment for students to embrace a "learning by doing" ethos. This not only nurtures their understanding but also cultivates a sense of safety that emboldens them to explore and experiment without the fear of failure.
