Student Perception of Clicker Usage in Nursing Education
Nurse educators must explore innovative ways to engage students and stimulate learning. Student response system (SRS) technology is one tool educators can use to increase participation, provide immediate feedback, and encourage critical thinking. This study evaluated perceptions of first-year nursing students using SRS technology. The findings support the use of SRS technology as a positive pedagogical approach to incorporate in teaching associate degree nursing students
Student Perceptions of Secondary Science Teachers’ Practices Following Curricular Change
Inquiry-based teaching has emerged as a highly valued strategy in science education. In Portugal, the science curriculum has been redesigned in order to promote such teaching. This implies substantial change in teacher practice. It is therefore important to understand students’ perceptions of teacher practice. Aim: In this study, we describe student perception of teacher practices and look for associations between the perceptions and student motivation. Method: Three low-achieving, secondary-level science classes were studied. Motivation was measured by two scales (Intrinsic and Extrinsic); Perceptions were measured in four dimensions. Results: Significant associations (p < .05) were observed between intrinsic motivation and (a) Perception of the use of Laboratory Work; (b) Perception of Science-Technology-Society and (c) Perceived Student Autonomy. No association was noted between intrinsic motivation and the Perception of Teacher as Facilitator. Conclusions: Results are generally consistent with previous literature. Teacher professional development lags behind curricular change. Teachers require new conceptions of assessment.Projeto financiado pelo CIEFCU

Improving student uptake and understanding of feedback through a dialogue model of assessment
Through the use of questionnaires, focus groups and a pilot study, this research examines student perception of assessment feedback and whether a dialogue model of assessment can aid in improving this perception. The findings of the study are that the dialogue model did improve student perception. It also identified the following recommendations for consideration: Recommendation 1: While a QE approach could be taken where a minimum standard of feedback is determined at University level, the researchers feel this might be restrictive and is better left to subject groups to determine. This minimum level can then be used as a QA check by internal moderators and at Quality Review events. It will be important to ensure that if feedback falls below this subject-determined minimum level that action is taken within the group to bring feedback up to the standard required. Recommendation 2: It should be written into the feedback policy that students have a right to a meeting to discuss feedback. This needs to be clearly expressed to ensure students recognize that this is not an opportunity to negotiate grades (as the researchers have personally experienced) and given in the spirit of helping the student develop. The researchers believe that as educators we should see the value in such meetings and make time for them. If good, constructive, clear feedback is given at the time of the assessment then there will be very few students who need to take up this opportunity. Recommendation 3: Within programme documentation when generic transferable skills are discussed there should be a requirement to show where the team are developing student understanding of the assessment process. Recommendation 4: Staff should be encouraged to include their marking scheme with the assessment brief. Recommendation 5: Monitor the result of the new assessment strategy in terms of student attainment and perception about the fairness of assessment. In particular identify how many modules have gone to single units of assessment and where this happens how students are supported with feedforward. Recommendation 6: Identify is there is a University standard expectation for particular types of assessment instrument at each level. This would help us to communicate lecturer expectations to students
SBI Intervention: An Old Problem- A New Perspective
This research effort attempted to determine if SB/ intervention would change the perception of business problems by not only the business owner but also the student consultants. This focus further to encompassed firms that could be classified in either Stage I or Stage II of development. Even though there were no changes in perception by student consultants, and mixed results of whether stage development affected perceptual differences, strong support was given to the proposition that owners, overall, did change their perception of existing problems after SBI intervention

analysis.
The results of the analysis showed variable performance of academic,
student perception towards the Organization of the profession of accountant and
emotional intelligence has significant effects against the selection of a career as an
accountant or non-accountant, but variable intelligence spiritual shows these

Student teachers' perception of their role and responsibilities as Catholic educators
This article is concerned with 26 primary and secondary student teachers' early perception of themselves as Catholic educators in Scotland. It analyses their perspectives on what it means to be a Catholic teacher, what is expected of them by the Church and what motivated them to chose this particular career path. Discussion of these issues reveals an astute awareness of their role in the Catholic sector but a deep apprehension about their ability to succeed in fulfilling this. Their religious biographies and identities highlight much about the Scottish context of which they are a part, yet their responses to faith indicate differing levels of confidence in teaching, particularly with regard to the content of the Religious Education curriculum which they are expected to implement. The challenge these students present to the major stakeholders in Scottish education is to provide them with adequate support in developing their own faith - and knowledge and understanding of it - in order to enable them to carry out their role as Catholic teachers effectively within the state funded system
Dampak Muatan Etika Dalam Pengajaran Akuntansi Keuangan Dan Audit Terhadap Persepsi Etika Mahasiswa Yang Dimoderasi Oleh Kecerdasan Kognisi Dan Kecerdasan Emosional: Studi Eksperimen Semu
Ethics education is more than studying the code of professional conduct, but rather a process whereby individuals become more consciously involved in making ethical decisions (Langenderfer and Rockness:1989). This study investigates whether integrating ethical issues in financial accounting course will improve student’s ethics perception. The research design was quasi experiment, posttest-only control group design, and the subject were students who took intermediate accounting. The hypotheses of this research were: (1) loading ethical issues in financial accounting course influenced student’s ethics perception, and (2) interaction between ethical issues in financial accounting course and student GPA (Grade Point Average) influenced student’s ethics perception. The research hypotheses were tested using two way ANOVA. The result show that: (1) loading ethical issues in financial accounting course not influenced student’s ethics perception, (2) interaction between loading ethical issues in financial accounting course and student GPA significantly influenced the student’s ethics perception. Considering the current climate of good corporate governance, educators can no longer postpone in integrating ethics issues in accounting curriculum
