Specifying Problems in a Paradigm Based Parallel Programming System

    No full text
This paper describes a system for specifying a given class of algorithms selected from an existing classification, the SIT class, which encompasses many applications in computational science. The advantages of this form of specification and the techniques by which parallel code can be generated have been outlined in previous publications. This paper concentrates on the user interface to the system, describing the advantages this system gives over existing systems and the benefits it provides for non-expert users of parallel machines
