Aspect-oriented interaction in multi-organisational web-based systems
Separation of concerns has been presented as a promising tool to tackle the design of complex systems in which
cross-cutting properties that do not fit into the scope of a class must be satisfied. Unfortunately, current proposals
assume that objects interact by means of object-oriented method calls, which implies that they embed interactions with
others into their functional code. This makes them dependent on this interaction model, and makes it difficult to reuse
them in a context in which another interaction model is more suited, e.g., tuple spaces, multiparty meetings, ports, and
so forth. In this paper, we show that functionality can be described separately from the interaction model used, which
helps enhance reusability of functional code and coordination patterns. Our proposal is innovative in that it is the first
that achieves a clear separation between functionality and interaction in an aspect-oriented manner. In order to show
that it is feasible, we adapted the multiparty interaction model to the context of multiorganisational web-based systems
and developed a class framework to build business objects whose performance rates comparably to handmade implementations;

Football stadia present a difficult environment for the deployment of digital services, due to their architectural design and the capacity problems from the numbers of fans. We present preliminary results from deploying an Android app building an ad hoc network amongst the attendees at matches at Brighton and Hove Albion's AMEX stadium, so as to share the available capacity and supply digital services to season

Fast, uniform, and compact scalar multiplication for elliptic curves and genus 2 Jacobians with applications to signature schemes
We give a general framework for uniform, constant-time one-and
two-dimensional scalar multiplication algorithms for elliptic curves and
Jacobians of genus 2 curves that operate by projecting to the x-line or Kummer
surface, where we can exploit faster and more uniform pseudomultiplication,
before recovering the proper "signed" output back on the curve or Jacobian.
This extends the work of L{\'o}pez and Dahab, Okeya and Sakurai, and Brier and
Joye to genus 2, and also to two-dimensional scalar multiplication. Our results
show that many existing fast pseudomultiplication implementations (hitherto
limited to applications in Diffie--Hellman key exchange) can be wrapped with
simple and efficient pre-and post-computations to yield competitive full scalar
multiplication algorithms, ready for use in more general discrete
logarithm-based cryptosystems, including signature schemes. This is especially
interesting for genus 2, where Kummer surfaces can outperform comparable
elliptic curve systems. As an example, we construct an instance of the Schnorr
signature scheme driven by Kummer surface arithmetic

Wireless communications has already radically changed the way not only Americans but people the world over communicate with each other and access and share information, and there appears no end in sight to this fundamental shift in communication markets. Although the wireless communications phenomenon is global, the US has played and will continue to play a major role in the shaping of this market. At the start of a new US Administration and important changes in the FCC, it is most appropriate that this proceeding be launched.
