The Case of Microsoft\u27s Surface Tablet: Going Behind the Strategy with SWOT
Following its development at Harvard Business School in the 1950s, the SWOT framework became a frequently used decision tool. While the complexity organizations confront in the modern business world has increased, SWOT provides an intuitive way to organize information into internal “Strengths and Weaknesses” and external “Opportunities and Threats.” Another reason that SWOT remains relevant is its flexibility that enables integrating other analysis tools. It also encompasses multiple steps of strategy development to cover analysis, formulating options, and implementation
Vietnam’s Economy: Success Story or Weird Dualism? A SWOT Analysis

Labour Bank Experiment in Kerala — SWOT Analysis
The experience gained from the path breaking experiment of formation of labour bank has been reported and SWOT analysis has been carried out. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Labour Bank have been reported. The capital of Labour Bank is the working capacity of the registered labourers. The Bank lends, even though for a short period, the working capacity of the labourers. The significance of Labour Bank experiment lies in the need of the agricultural sector to break the shackles on account of labour-related problems. The experience gained from this experiment can be used to develop similar labour organizations in other panchayaths also. The study has offered some suggestions based on the Labour Bank in Kunnathukal Panchayath in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala and its current relevance for implementation of rural employment programmes.Labour bank, SWOT analysis, Labour organization, Democratic decentralization, Agricultural and Food Policy, J43, J21, J54,

research method used was qualitative research, the sample in this study consisted of 4
informants who were determined using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis
techniques used is IFE matrix data analysis, EFE matrix, IE matrix, SWOT matrix, and follows
the interactive analysis model as stated by Miles and Huberman. The research results show that
the SWOT analysis of the PT Loka Fiber company is in quadrant V, namely, the Hold And

Using CFCs and SF6 for groundwater dating : a SWOT analysis
A knowledge of the residence time of groundwater is of importance in
understanding key issues in the evolution of water quality. Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and
sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) offer a convenient way of dating waters up to ~60 yrs old. In
contrast to tritium, these gases are well-mixed in the atmosphere so their input functions are
much less problematic. While any one of these gases can in principle provide a groundwater
age, when two or more are measured on water samples the potential exists to distinguish
between different modes of flow including piston flow, exponential flow and simple endmember
mixing. As with all groundwater dating methods, caveats apply. Factors such as
recharge temperature and elevation must be reasonably well-constrained. Mainly for SF6, the
phenomenon of ‘excess air’ also requires consideration. Mainly for the CFCs, local sources
of contamination need to be considered, as do redox conditions. For both SF6 and the CFCs,
the nature and thickness of the unsaturated zone need to be factored into residence time
calculations. This paper attempts a balanced look at the pros and cons of the trace-gas dating
method
SWOT Analysis of Nursing Clinic Professional Career Ladder System (SJKP2K) in Military Hospital Jakarta
Nursing managers must have a strong directing function towards the Professional Clinic Nurse Career Ladder System (SJKP2K). This is to improve the quality of nursing care that will be provided by nurses to patients. The military hospital in Jakarta already has the standard of planning, guidelines and SOP regarding the SJKP2K, but based on the authors\u27 observations for two weeks in one of the rooms in the hospital, the results show that the SJKP2K implementation is not optimal. This problem then analyzed using the SWOT Analysis followed by scoring and weighting through an Internal Factors Evaluation (IFE) and External Factors Evaluation (EFE) matrix analysis. The sum of the scores of each matrix then poured into the IE (Internal and External) matrix to determine the position of the SJKP2K strengths. The calculation result between IFE and EFE in IE matrix shows that SJKP2K is in area V, which means that SJKP2K is in hold and maintain stage so that market penetration and product development strategies are needed so that SJKP2K requires development both in quality and quantity
