    Hybrid system of expert system and artificial neural networks for objective evaluation of product sensuous quality

    Get PDF
    Basic problems and the bottleneck of current approaches for objective assessment of product sensuous quality (PSQ) are discussed. As a solution, a new approach, an expert system (ES) based on artificial neural networks (ANNs) is proposed, in which the ES and ANNs co-operate in a superiority compensation way. T he knowledge base of the system can be effectively built and the evaluation of PSQ can be conducted on-line. As a case study, the new approach has been applied in leather handle test and it proves that the approach is capable of handling non-linear relationships among multiple measured PSQ parameters

    Entangled SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states

    Entangled SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states are developed as superpositions of multiparticle SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states. In certain cases, these are coherent states with respect to generalized su(2) and su(1,1) generators, and multiparticle parity states arise as a special case. As a special example of entangled SU(2) coherent states, entangled binomial states are introduced and these entangled binomial states enable the contraction from entangled SU(2) coherent states to entangled harmonic oscillator coherent states. Entangled SU(2) coherent states are discussed in the context of pairs of qubits. We also introduce the entangled negative binomial states and entangled squeezed states as examples of entangled SU(1,1) coherent states. A method for generating the entangled SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states is discussed and degrees of entanglement calculated. Two types of SU(1,1) coherent states are discussed in each case: Perelomov coherent states and Barut-Girardello coherent states.Comment: 31 pages, no figure

    Le rôle parental des familles d'accueil: quelle pratique quotidienne pour quels enjeux ?

    Get PDF
    Ce Travail de Bachelor traite de la question du placement longue durée d’enfants en famille d’accueil. Il débat plus précisément de la pratique quotidienne de la parentalité d’accueil. Dans mon travail de recherche théorique, j’éclaire certaines notions de base inhérentes au placement telles que le concept de parentalité et de loyauté, les bases légales y faisant références et mets en avant les freins et les facilitateurs rencontrés par les différents acteurs du placement, tout au long de ce processus. La recherche terrain s’applique à questionner plusieurs familles d’accueil sur leur expérience pratique réelle, et à désigner ainsi les difficultés rencontrées du point de vue de l’enfant, de l’institution, et de la famille elle-même. Mon analyse se centre sur différentes thématiques et constats apportés par les familles d’accueil. Ainsi, l’exercice du rôle parental, les droits et les devoirs des familles naturelles et des familles d’accueil, et la prise en charge de l’enfant placé sont mis en lumière

    SU(4)_c x SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R model from 5D SUSY SU(4)_c x SU(4)_{L+R}

    Full text link
    We investigate supersymmetric SU(4)c×SU(4)L+RSU(4)_c\times SU(4)_{L+R} theory in 5 dimensions whose compactification on a S(1)/Z2S^{(1)}/Z_2 orbifold yields N=1 supersymmetric SU(4)c×SU(2)L×SU(2)RSU(4)_c\times SU(2)_L\times SU(2)_R supplemented by a \tl{U}(1) gauge symmetry. We discuss how the μ\mu problem is resolved, a realistic Yukawa sector achieved, and a stable proton realized. Neutrino masses and oscillations are also briefly discussed.Comment: Version to appear in Physical Review

    An alternative SU(4) x SU(2)L x SU(2)R model

    Full text link
    A simple alternative to the usual Pati-Salam model is proposed. The model allows quarks and leptons to be unified with gauge group SU(4)SU(2)LSU(2)RSU(4) \otimes SU(2)_L \otimes SU(2)_R at a remarkably low scale of about 1 TeV. Neutrino masses in the model arise radiatively and are naturally light.Comment: 9 pages, Latex (1 Figure

    Classification of Harish-Chandra Modules over the Higher Rank Virasoro Algebras

    Full text link
    It is obtained that an irreducible weight module with finite weight multiplicities over a higher rank Virasoro or super-Virasoro algebra is either a module of the intermediate series, or a so-called finitely-dense module.Comment: Some errors in Theorems 1.1 and 1.2 are correcte
