SOA for Hybrid P2P based Self Organising Grids

    No full text
Grid technologies can be aligned with Web services technologies in order to capitalize on desirable Web services properties to develop self describing, discoverable grid services. With the increasing size of grid networks, there is a need for efficient resource distribution and scheduling of applications within a grid to achieve scalability. In this paper, we propose a service oriented architecture for building a scalable, self organising grid for efficient resource distribution using job management, resource management and hybrid p2p based services. These services have been defined and developed as a part of the grid services layer with support from existing grid middleware (Globus) [7]. The hybrid p2p capabilities have been developed as a part of the application toolkit layer of the integrated grid architecture. The initial results from this implementation of hybrid P2P based self organising grid networks using the SOA are encouraging. 1
