Kontinentális filozófia a XX. században = Continental Philosophy in the 20th Century

A kutatási tervben megjelölt célokat sikerült elérni. A szöveg felépítése szerzői életművekre koncentrál. | We finished succesfully our research project in June 2009. After having written several preparatory studies (see: list of publications) we finished the manuscript of 'XXth Century Continental Philosophy'. The 434 pages long text presents in a systematical form the main philosophical currents of the last century: phenomenology, hermeneutics, existentialism, structuralism, neomarxism, Franfurter Schule, poststructuralism, deconstruction and postmodern. The aim of the book is to present in the clearest possible form the complexity of thoughts of the main figures in XXth century continental philosophy. Some publishing houses (Akadémiai, L'Harmattan) have shown interest in our manuscript. The book can hopefully be published in the first half of the year 2010. We attached to final report a detailed table of contents of the manuscript and we delivered the full text in CD to OTKA

    Understanding Human Dignity

    Get PDF
Throughout his Adventures of Ideas, Whitehead defines the history of civilization as the progressive formation of the idea of human dignity, just like a “tiny glow announcing the dawn of a new life order”1. According to Patočka, the role of what he calls the “moderate supercivilization” consists in the creation of goods that can be universalized to all human beings. He insists particularly on two core values: scientific truth and human liberty. Both configure the “recognition of man by man as equal”2. Even if he does not talk explicitly about human dignity, Patočka refers to this notion as the central value of western civilization. Also, and from an historical perspective, Béjar thinks that the “greatest revolution of modernity is the affirmation of the individual as the deciding and unquestionable center of the collective organization”3. With these three preliminary references, it might be possible to think about the idea of human dignity. On one hand, this notion would be the mirror of a moral progress: social and political organizations would find their “raison d’être” in the respect of the value of human being. On the other hand, human dignity would match with a specific historical period (Modernity) and a particular civilization (the Western world).Programa Consolider "El tiempo de los derechos" (HURI-AGE

Inner Life, Politics and the Secular: Is there a ‘Spirituality’ of Subalterns and Dalits? Notes on Gramsci and Ambedkar.

    Get PDF
When discussing the plight of subaltern groups, scholars often underline the economic and material troubles suffered by “the poor” through the perpetration of unjust exploitation, unequal distribution of wealth, and more generally, their being subjected to abuse and violence. This narrative frequently includes the means put in place by subalterns to regain a share of power, but the idea of “inner life” or “spirituality” has hardly been considered as part of the process through which subalterns express their agency so as to attain recognition of their “full humanity.” A closer analysis of Gramsci’s Notebook 11 and other works, however, highlights the relevance of an innovative, transforming, and immanent “spirituality” that necessarily reflects the historical experience of subaltern groups. This is further emphasized by the writings and activity of the Dalit leader B. R. Ambedkar

Romantyzm jako etykietka pseudohistorycznoliteracka (In margine czeskich międzywojennych dyskusji i polemik literackich)

The article deals with the specific presence of the term romanticism in the interwar period (1918–1939) in Czechoslovakia. In the introduction, the author stresses the lack of a precise definition of the term as well as two ways of understanding it. On the one hand, the term romanticism refers to the complex historical and literary movement that originated in the second half of the 18th century. On the other hand, however, it is associated with something trivial, which does not deserve much attention. The author attempts to analyse the way  the  term  is  used  in  literary  discussions  and  polemics  in  the  interwar period in Czechoslovakia. The author comes to the conclusion that the term 'romanticism' was a sort of historical and literary label stuck to adversaries in order to belittle them and their ideas. The article deals with the specific presence of the term romanticism in the interwar period (1918–1939) in Czechoslovakia. První z nich bude řízen pomocí D/A převodníku a druhý digitálními potenciometry. This master’s thesis is about design and realization of a digital controlled power supply. In the introduction there is defined a basic princip and division of the power supplies. Furthermore, there are considered two design realisations of digital controlled power supllies. The first one will be controlled by D/A converter and the second one will be controlled by digital potentiometers. Consequently, there is in the master’s thesis designed controlled part which controls output parameters of supply. The core of the controlled part is microcontroller ATmega16. Output parameters are displayed on LCD display and are set by 4x4 matrix keypad. In the last part there is designed connection between PC and microcontroller by the help of converter FT232BM. Subsequently, there is designed the rectifier with a filter and electronic switching of the fan. At the end of the thesis is resolved the placement of the various component parts to the component box.
