Uji Efektivitas Ekstrak Buah Bengkuang (Pachyrhizus Erosus (L.) Urb.) sebagai Pengawet Alami Cabai Merah (Capsicum Annuum L)
Red Chili is one of the food susceptible to decay. It caused by its high water content and so it causes to keep power of red Chili abbreviated. Jicama (pachyrizuserosus (L.) Urb.) can act as a natural preservative for red Chili due to the saponin compounds contained there in. This study aimed to prove the use of jicama extract as a natural preservative for red Chili and to determine the most effective concentration of jicama extract as a natural preservative. The methods used in this study were a maceration to prepare the extract of jicama, and an iodimetric titration to determine the levels of vitamin C before and after curing. The results showed that jicama extract can be used as a natural preservative for red Chili. The most effective concentration of jicama extract in preserving the red Chili was 4% with preservation durability of red Chili for 14 days in which the smallest level of vitamin C decreased among other concentrations, i.e. from 84.47 mg/100 g to 75.13 mg/100 g of material

To observe the effect treatment of ozone gas, cleaned Chili then soaking on water while ozone was dissolving on the water. Then Chili that dissolving on water ozonation to be saving on open space, glass cupboard and cooling spacie.On saving to one month have getting that red Chili has ozonation and saving on cooling space still in fresh condition
Pengembangan Usahatani Cabai Merah di Lahan Pasir Pantai Kecamatan Temon Kabupaten Kulonprogo
The objective of this research is determine the profit of red Chili farming coastal land, the factors that influence of red Chili production and efficiency used of production factors on red Chili farming on coastal land in Temon subdistrict Kulon Progo Regency. Selection of the location is used purposive method.Fourty farmer sampling were taken as simple random sampling. The analysis method is used Multiple Regression Analysis with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The result showed that the income of red Chili farming in coastal land is Rp 9.278.430/0,38 ha and the profit is Rp 3.094.504/0,38 ha. The production factors concists of the soil of area, number of seeds, amount of labors, manure fertilizer, dunk fertilizer, Za chemic fertilizer, SP 36 fertilizer, NPK Mutiara fertilizer, Phonska fertilizer, Furadan insecticide, Ampligo fungicide, Anthracol fungicide, Confidor insecticide, the kind of seeds and used of mulch aggregated influences to red Chili production. The production factors number of seeds, amount of labors, manure fertilizer, NPK Mutiara fertilizer, Ampligo fungicide, kind of seeds and used mulch partially influences to red Chili production on coastal land. Seed applied on red Chili farming on coastal land is efficient
Efisiensi Pemasaran Cabai Merah di Kecamatan Adiluwih Kabupaten Pringsewu Provinsi Lampung
This research aims to find out marketing efficiency of red Chili in Pringsewu District Lampung Province.Research site were selected deliberately. Sampling is done by following the line of marketing. This researchuses primary data and secondary data about. This research analyzed by marketing efficiency consist tochannel analysis, producers share, marketing margin and Profit Margin Ratio (PMR), price correlationanalysis, and elasticity of price transmission. The results showed that marketing system of red Chili inPringsewu district is efficient. It is seen from the producers share of greater than 70 percent, althoughmarket structure of red Chili in Pringsewu district is imperfectly competitive market (oligopsoni), thevariability market of red Chili in Pringsewu district there are three marketing channels, profit margin ratio(PMR) at marketing of red Chili is not prevalent, and then the value of elasticity price transmission of redchili in Pringsewu district is more than one
Analisis Penawaran Cabai Merah (Capsicum Annum L.) Di Kabupaten Karanganyar
: The research aims are analyzing red Chili pepper supply factors and supply elasticity in Karanganayar Regency.The basic method which used in this research is descriptive analysis. The research location was choose by purposive is Karanganyar Regency. While data type wich used is time series secondary data during 24 months started from January 2013-December 2014. The computation data analysis used double linear regression by inserting model lag which distributed by approach Nerlove (Partial Adjustment Model). Supplies function with direct approaching. The value of the coefficient of determination (R2) this study was 0,703. The results showed that red Chili pepper's price four month earlier variable and red Chili pepper's harvested area at t month variable, are obviously significant toward red Chili pepper supply in Karanganyar Regency at 1% significance level. Red Chili pepper's price four month earlier, red Chili pepper's harvested area at t month, average rainfall at t month, quantity red Chili pepper production at previous month and red Chili pepper's price at t month jointly significant effect on the red Chili pepper supply in Karanganyar Regency at the rate 1% significance. Red Chili pepper supplies elasticity at short term is inelastic
Pengaruh Suhu Dan Lama Penyimpanan Terhadap Kandungan Vitamin C Dalam Cabai Merah (Capsicum Annuum. L) Dan Aktivitas Antioksidannya
Vitamin C is known as an antioxidant. The vitamin C level in food can be affected by temperature and prolonged storage. Red Chili (Capsicum annum L) could be decomposed due to storage. This study aims to investigate the influence of temperature and storage time to the vitamin C level in red Chili and its antioxidant activity. The determination of vitamin C level used a spectrophotometric method and the antioxidant activity assay using DPPH method. Red Chili was storage in 0 (zero) days, three (3) days and 7 (seven) days. Storage temperature varies at 0⁰C; 10⁰C and room temperature. Data were analyzed statistically with a linearity test and model polynomial regression (curve) with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the duration of storage significantly influenced the vitamin C level in red Chili and its antioxidant activity. Contrary to the duration of storage, the storage temperature had no effect on the vitamin C level and antioxidant activity in red Chili. The vitamin C level and antioxidant activity was highest in the storage 0 (zero) days that were the vitamin C level of 0.24% w/w and antioxidant activity of 35.58%

The Pricing System of Red Onion and Red Chili Commodities
The prices of red chili and red onion commodities tend to fluctuate and have high margin rates, causing inefficiency of prices. On the other hand, the demand for red chili and red onion will increase as the number of population increases. This study aimed to analyze the factors and behaviors that can affect the pricing system on red onion and red chili in East Jakarta by using the Vector Error Correction Model and Game Theory. The results showed that the producer and wholesale prices of red onion and red chili commodities contribute to the price discovery at the consumer level. Maximum profit is achieved by retail merchants when they adopt prices in collusion as a dominant strategy
