CURRICULUM VITAE

My research interests are text summarization, question answering, social computing, opinion extraction, information extraction, machine translation, and machine learning. Recently, my main focus is developing social/scalable automatic question answering and distillation system – SQuAD. This project aims to mine existing question and answer pairs on the web, create a searchable question and answer repository, generate unseen questions and acquire their answers automatically. Previously, I have developed technologies for summarization and machine translation. Basic Element (BE), a joint effort with E.H. Hovy, L. Zhou, J. Fukumoto from Ritsumeikan University, Japan, K.
