    Pemakaian Bahasa Dalam Karya Ilmiah Populer

    This article is intended to describe the characteristics of  language used in popular scientific discourse, and its differences from  ones usually found in pure scientific articles. A close and careful examination through some amount of data extracted from Intisari, one of the most popular scientific  megazines in Indonesia, shows that the use of language in the popular megazine is considerably different from those generally exploited in more serious scientific articles. The differences include the use of  long and short sentence combinations,  reported speech, pronouns, simele and metaphor, diction, conjuction and other syntactic constituent ellipsis, and anecdotes and play on word. The popular style is important to master, especially by anyone who are involved and interested in popular writing activities. Accordingly, the standard variation is not the only style to teach in langage learning. 

    PENGGUNAAN DIKSI INDRIA PADA NOVEL NGULANDARA DALAM BUKU EMAS SUMAWUR ING BALUARTI KARYA PARTINI B

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan diksi indria yang terdapat pada novel Ngulandara dalam buku Emas Sumawur Ing Baluarti karya Partini B. Hal-hal dan aspek-aspek yang dideskripsikan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis dan fungsi diksi indria yang terdapat pada novel Ngulandara dalam buku Emas Sumawur . Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Ngulandara yang terdapat dalam buku Emas Sumawur Ing Baluarti karya Partini B. Data penelitian berupa kata yang termasuk jenis dan fungsi diksi indria. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan cara membaca dan mencatat. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui validitas semantik dan reliabilitas stabilitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan jenis dan fungsi diksi indria pada buku Emas Sumawur Ing Baluarti sangat beragam. Jenis dan fungsi diksi indria yang digunakan pada buku Emas Sumawur Ing Baluarti karya Partini B meliputi: (1) diksi indria penglihatan berfungsi menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting, dan keadaan), reaksi emosi, gambaran suasana, melebihkan penuturan, menciptakan makna baru, memperindah karya sastra dan gambaran suasana, menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting dan keadaan) dan gambaran suasana, serta reaksi emosi dan gambaran suasana. (2) Diksi indria pendengaran berfungsi menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting dan keadaan), reaksi emosi, menghidupkan pelukisan, memperindah dan menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting dan keadaan), menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting dan keadaan) dan gambaran suasana, serta reaksi emosi dan gambaran suasana. (3) Diksi indria penciuman berfungsi menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting dan keadaan). (4) Diksi indria perasa berfungsi menonjolkan bagian tertentu karya sastra (tokoh, setting dan keadaan), dan makna baru.     Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Artikel Ilmiah Populer Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri I Bringin Dengan Pembelajaran Saintifik Berbasis Media Massa

    The research aimed at knowing to what extent (1) the effectiveness of Mass Media Based Scientific Approachas to improve the ability to write popular scientific articles, (2) the improvement ofNinth Junior High students? activity, enthusiasm, concentration and creativityin the learning process, and (3) the improvement of Ninth Junior High students? achievement in writing popular scientific article at Negeri 1 Bringin Semarang District after the implementation of mass media based scientific approach. It was a classroom action research (PTK), consisting of components of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. It included two cycles. The first cycle was implenting scientific approach by utilizing the video "Fighting Student" printed media based. The second cycle was by utilizing the video song entitled "Mirassantika" internet-media based. The subjects of the research were ninth-grade students of SMPN 1 Beringin Semarang in the academic year of 2015/2016. The data of the study consisted of primary data, which were the ninth-grade students, and the secondary data, consisting of the teachers in the classroom, the researcher, fellow teacher of Indonesian, and staf members of UPBJJ-UT Semarang. The results showed that (1) learning to write a scientific article by implenting mass media-based scientific approach could enhance the activity, vigor, enthusiasm, and creativity into learning, (2) enabling to create a condusive atmosphere of effective, interesting, and fun learning, in which up to the end of second cycle 43.75% of students were having happy expression when they were learning and 56.25% of students stated enjoying to follow the lesson: Bahasa Indonesia. Then, 9.38% of the students expressed their creativity greatly increased, 87.56,% of students stated their creativity increased as well. Moreover, 37.5% of students stated that their creativity were improved, also 62.5% of students stated the same idea. Additionally, 46.88% of students stated that they were very attracted to learn bahasa Indonesia and 17.53% of students gained high interest of learning bahasa Indonesia, and (3) improve the number of students who were able to write popular scientific articles with minimal score 78. By the end of second cycle of the number of students who gained score 78 or more were 31 students or if it was calculated in percentage was 96.87%.     Interferensi Bahasa Wewewa Dalam Bahasa Indonesia Tulis Murid Kelas V SD Inpres Waiwagha Kecamatan Wewewa Selatan Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya

    This qualitative descriptive study aims to describe and analyze (1) the interference type of Wewewa language to Indonesian language of students writing, and (2) the interference level of Wewewa language to Indonesian language of students writing on class V SD Inpres Waiwagha South Wewewa District South-West Sumba Regency. The subjects were students of class V SD Inpres Waiwagha. Object of this study is the interference of Wewewa language to Indonesian language of students writing on class V SD Inpres Waiwagha South Wewewa District South-West Sumba Regency. Data collection method used is the method of documentation. The data were analyzed through three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that (1) the type of language interference in Indonesian Wewewa fifth grade elementary school students write Waiwagha Instruction District of South Wewewa Southwest Sumba occurred in the field of morphology, semantics, and syntax; (2) the level of interference in Indonesian language Wewewa fifth grade elementary school students write Waiwagha Instruction District of South Wewewa Southwest Sumba occur in the realm of morphology, semantics, and syntax. In the realm of grammatical morphology interference pengingingkaran targets. In the realm of syntax, there are two types of interference that substitution interference, and interference denial grammatical targets. Interference is interference in the domain of semantic substitution, occurs because Wewewa different conceptions of the meaning of language in Indonesian meaning. The process of interference in the realm of morphology, syntax and semantics is an active process of productive because the donor language is actively used by the subject. Wewewa interference level language to write Indonesian students in the realm of morphology, semantics, and syntax can be classified low, based on student essay writing. This research can provide feedback to the teacher, the students that one of the causes of student difficulties in learning Indonesian because it is still so strong dependence on the structure of their first language (language Wewewa).     Sistem Hisab Awal Bulan Kamariah Dr. Ing. Khafid dalam Program Mawaiqt

    Perbedaan hari raya yang kerap terjadi di Indonesia membawa hikmah tersendiri bagi perkembangan ilmu falak. Di samping karena adanya perbedaan sikap terhadap laporan hasil rukyat pada saat itu, disebabkan pula oleh adanya perbedaan hasil hisab yang berkembang di Indonesia. Oleh sebab itulah orang-orang yang berkecimpung dalam dunia astronomi mulai menaruh perhatiannya terhadap perhitungan-perhitungan ilmu falak, khususnya perhitungan awal bulan Qamariah. Dalam kesempatan ini muncul program-program software yang menyiapkan data sekaligus melakukan perhitungan, sehingga program ini dirasa lebih praktis dan lebih udah bagi pemakainya. Program-program itu diantaranya “Falakiyah Najmi´oleh Nuril Fuad pada tahun 1995, program “Badiatul Misal´tahun 2000 dan program “Ahillah´tahun 2004 oleh Muhyiddin Khazin, program “Mawâqit Versi 2001” oleh Khafid pada tahun 2001. Mayoritas program diciptakan oleh para ahli astronomi maupun falak. Akan tetapi program “Mawâqit” diciptakan oleh Dr. Ing. Khafid dengan background keilmuannya yang merupakan seorang ahli geodesi. Lalu bagaimana implementasi pemikiran Dr. Ing. Khafid mengenai penentuan awal bulan Qamariah yang dituangkan dalam sebuah program yang bernama “Mawâqit”
