OPTIMIZING SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIES TO ENHANCE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT: A CASE STUDY OF PT ICONNET (ICON+)
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, social media has become a crucial tool for businesses seeking to build lasting relationships with their customers. This study investigates the role of social media in enhancing customer engagement at PT ICONNET (ICON+), a broadband internet service provider and subsidiary of PT PLN, amidst the fierce competition in Indonesia’s telecommunications market. Despite having strong infrastructure support from PLN, PT ICONNET faces significant challenges in optimizing its social media strategies, which impacts customer interaction and loyalty. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, including interviews, observations, and document analysis, this research identifies both the internal and external factors that influence the company’s social media effectiveness. The findings highlight the strengths of PT ICONNET, such as its reliable infrastructure and public sector reputation, but also reveal key weaknesses, including slow decision-making, inconsistent content strategy, and evolving social media algorithms. Based on SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS analyses, the study proposes strategies for improving engagement, such as content optimization, leveraging new social media features, and enhancing the digital team's capabilities. Given the urgency of adapting to the digital demands of today’s consumers, the study concludes that PT ICONNET must adopt a more data-driven and adaptive social media strategy. This will help the company foster stronger customer connections, improve brand loyalty, and solidify its competitive edge in Indonesia’s dynamic ISP industry
The Effect of Personal Selling of Iconnet Products on the Buying Interest of Housing Residents in Medan City
Technology has influenced humans in their daily lives. The improvement of technological developments is able to affect aspects of life that cannot be separated from the use of the internet. It is seen in the last 5 years that the use of technology in Indonesia has grown rapidly, marked by the emergence of many internet service providers. The increase in household internet users is one of the phenomena that can be used by ICON+ to be able to attract new users. This target market will try to find alternative internet providers that can meet the needs of the internet in households at affordable prices. This study aims to measure the influence of personal selling carried out by ICON+ sales on the buying interest of people in Medan housing. This study is a quantitative research with a simple linear regression method from a total of 350 respondents. The results of this study stated that personal selling had an effect on the buying interest of residents in Medan city housing with the influence of the independent variable on the bound variable of 52.2% while the remaining 47.8% was influenced by other factors outside this study
The Influence of Iconnet Product Personal Selling on the Purchase Interest of Housing Residents in Medan City
This study aims to analyze the influence of ICONNET product personal selling on the purchase interest of housing residents in Medan City. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents who are housing residents in Medan City. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression to test the influence of personal selling on purchase interest. The results of the study indicate that personal selling has a positive and significant influence on the purchase interest of housing residents. Effective personal selling increases consumer purchase interest in ICONNET products. These findings have implications for marketing management that personal selling strategies can be an effective tool to boost sales, particularly in the telecommunications industry in residential areas. Recommendations for future research include adding other variables such as product quality and price to see their effects on purchase interest more comprehensively.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh personal selling produk ICONNET terhadap minat beli penduduk perumahan di Kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 150 responden yang merupakan penduduk perumahan di Kota Medan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana untuk menguji pengaruh personal selling terhadap minat beli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa personal selling memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli penduduk perumahan. Personal selling yang efektif meningkatkan minat beli konsumen terhadap produk ICONNET. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi bagi manajemen pemasaran bahwa strategi personal selling dapat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan penjualan, khususnya dalam industri telekomunikasi di area perumahan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah untuk menambah variabel lain seperti kualitas produk dan harga untuk melihat pengaruhnya terhadap minat beli secara lebih komprehensif
Performance Analysis of 10 Mbps Wireless Iconnet in Perumahan Bumi Mi’raj
The Internet has become a basic need for every human being in carrying out his activities. To find out the quality of the internet network, a measurement called the Quality of Service is needed. Quality of service measurement can help in evaluating the performance of internet network providers. Data collection was carried out by monitoring while using YouTube and conducting video meetings using the Zoom application using the Wirleshark software with a viewing time of 30 minutes using the 10 Mbps Iconnet package. The number of users of the Iconnet internet network in this study amounted to 5 users. The data collected in this study were processed using QUALITY OF SERVICE parameters such as throughput, packet loss, delay, and jittler. Then an analysis was carried out by comparing the data obtained with the TIPHON standard. Data collection was carried out at Bumi Mi'Raj Housing, Jalan Bangau Sakti, Pekanbaru City. The results of the 10 Mbps iconnet network research have a very good delay value with an average of 21.75 ms and a very good packet loss with an average of 0.46%. The jitter parameter is in the good category with an average of 24.80 ms and the throughput parameter is in the bad category with an average of 258 kbps. The use of the 10 Mbps iconnet network can be used to play Youtube videos with 360p quality resolution with a total of 5 users. The more users of the 10 Mbps iconnet network, the effect will be a decrease in the quality of the Quality of Service parameter. The use of the iconnet network is better used on the slowest walk than on the slowest time
Penerapan Personal Selling Di PT Indonesia Comnets Plus Kantor Perwakilan Madiun Pada Iconnet
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan personal selling PT
Indonesia Comnets Plus Kantor Perwakilan Madiun pada produk Iconnet, sebuah
layanan internet yang diperkenalkan sebagai bagian dari transformasi perusahaan.
Dalam menghadapi persaingan yang ketat di industri telekomunikasi, perusahaan
perlu menerapkan promosi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan penjualan dan
mempertahankan citra positif di mata masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan
observasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Narasumber yang terlibat dalam
penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT Indonesia Comnets Plus Kantor Perwakilan
Madiun yang terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan penjualan produk Iconnet. Data yang
diperoleh dianalisis melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data,
kesimpulan, dan verifikasi data.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan personal selling oleh
karyawan penjualan PT Indonesia Comnets Plus Kantor Perwakilan Madiun
berjalan dengan baik dan berdampak positif pada Iconnet. Namun, perusahaan perlu
meningkatkan dan mengembangkan kegiatan promosi dengan lebih maksimal,
terutama dengan menambah sumber daya manusia ke tim penjualan dan
pemasangan Fiber Access Terminal (FAT). Dengan demikian, penyebaran produk
Iconnet akan lebih cepat, dan semua orang, terutama mereka yang tinggal di daerah
terpencil, akan dapat menggunakan dan menikmati manfaat dari Iconnet. Hal ini
diharapkan akan memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap perkembangaan
Iconnet.
Dalam lingkungan bisnis yang terus menerus berubah, penelitian ini
memberikan wawasan penting tentang cara menggunakan personal selling yang
efektif. Perusahaan tidak dapat berhasil jika mereka tidak tahu cara menggunakan
personal selling yang baik dan tepat. Untuk menghadapi persaingan yang semakin
ketat di industri telekomunikasi, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya terusmenerus
diperlukan untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan penjualan personal

RIVAL UNDER ONE ROOF: LEGAL AND ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVES ON STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISE SUBSIDIARIES IN INDONESIA’S INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER SECTOR
When public entities compete under the same state roof, the lines between national service and commercial ambition blur. In Indonesia’s internet service provider (ISP) sector, subsidiaries of state-owned enterprises (SOEs)—including ICONNET (PLN), PGNCOM (Pertamina), and JMRB (Jasa Marga) —have entered commercial markets, often overlapping with private actors. While their expansion is framed as part of national digital infrastructure development, it raises institutional and legal tensions related to role boundaries, governance neutrality, and market efficiency. This study applies a normative legal approach, supported by institutional economic theory—particularly comparative advantage and institutional specialization —to evaluate whether such activities are consistent with public mandates and regulatory frameworks. Drawing on Law No. 1/2025, Government Regulation No. 72/2016, and Government Regulation No. 46/2021, the paper identifies sectoral misalignment and structural ambiguities that threaten competitive neutrality. It concludes with policy recommendations for clarifying institutional roles, reinforcing infrastructure-sharing governance, and ensuring that public investment aligns with long-term market integrity

Comparative Study of Iconnet Jabodetabek and Banten Using Linear Regression and Support Vector Regression
PT PLN Indonesia Comnets Plus has little information regarding future customer growth, making it difficult to take steps to meet customer needs. This research aims to predict customer growth in the future based on quantitative data from the previous year, where the output provided produces data in the form of numbers that are analyzed using statistical methods. The hope is to provide information to maximize customer growth with the minimum area or bandwidth used by the company. This research uses linear regression and support vector regression (SVR) algorithms using a company secondary dataset of 252 data points with 5 attributes. Data was collected during the last one-year period, from January to December 2021. The results of the research show that predictions using both algorithms have increased, customer growth when viewed from the number of customers, bandwidth, and regional data has increased significantly. This can be seen from the value of the number of customers, which continues to increase, while the highest number of customers falls in December, the most requested bandwidth is 20 mbps, and the largest customer area is in the Depok area. The results of the research show that the SVR algorithm is superior in terms of mean absolute percentage error (MAPE): 0.02% MAPE, 0.10 MAE, and 0.99 RMSE, while for linear regression, the MAPE values were 36.28%, MAE 201, and RMSE 0.80
