BLACK HOLE ATTACK IN AODV & FRIEND FEATURES UNIQUE EXTRACTION TO DESIGN DETECTION ENGINE FOR INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM IN MOBILE ADHOC NETWORK

Ad-hoc network is a collection of nodes that are capable to form dynamically a temporary network without the support of any centralized fixed infrastructure. Since there is no central controller to determine the reliable & secure communication paths in Mobile Adhoc Network, each node in the ad hoc network has to rely on each other in order to forward packets, thus highly cooperative nodes are required to ensure that the initiated data transmission process does not fail. In a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) where security is a crucial issue and they are forced to rely on the neighbor node, trust plays an important role that could improve the number of successful data transmission. Larger the number of trusted nodes, higher successful data communication process rates could be expected. In this paper, Black Hole attack is applied in the network, statistics are collected to design intrusion detection engine for MANET Intrusion Detection System (IDS). Feature extraction and rule inductions are applied to find out the accuracy of detection engine by using support vector machine. In this paper True Positive generated by the detection engine is very high and this is a novel approach in the area of Mobile Adhoc Intrusion detection system

OMH-Suppressing Selfish Behavior in Ad hoc Networks with One More Hop

In ad hoc networks, wireless nodes rely on each other to transmit data over multi-hops by forwarding packets. A selfish node may decide not to forward packets for other nodes to save its own resource but still use the network to send and receive data. Such a selfish behavior can degrade network performance significantly. Most existing work took observation, reputation and token based mechanisms. However observation based mechanism suffers from mobility and collusion; reputation and token based mechanisms suffer from system complexity and efficiency. In this paper, we propose One More Hop (OMH) protocol which suppresses selfish behavior from a totally new angle. Basing on the fact that the selfish but rational nodes still want to receive and send packets, if a node can not determine whether a packet is destined for it or not, it can not drop the packet. With modified routing protocol and cryptographic techniques, OMH achieves this design target. It is robust and efficient. The simulation shows that OMH works well under different network situations

Performing Cancer Cultures: Activating Healthcare and Environmental Justice

"Performing Cancer Cultures: Activating Healthcare and Environmental Justice" addresses the possibilities for performance to intervene in U.S cancer cultures in three primary ways. First: as renewed, reiterated rituals performed in the NC Moral Mondays and HKonJ coalition movement for, among other things, Medicaid expansion, coal ash clean up, and a fracking ban. Second: in oral histories told and testimonies given in and beyond U.S. Commission on Civil Rights hearings on coal ash waste, part of ethnographic research and action-affiliations in Walnut Cove, an environmental health sacrifice zone in Stokes County, NC. Third: in the open format, stage performance of Flipping Cancer that I have offered in multiple sites 2014-19, developed from ongoing, clinician-, caregiver-, and patient-tailored InterPlay workshops and interviews centering stage IV disease. I argue that the embodied performance of story by persons living/dying with advanced cancers in both fossil fuel and healthcare worlds importantly challenges the particularly vigorous claims U.S. cancer cultures make on raced and gendered bodies, leading to the “redemptive-prophetic” stance I pursue in my current work. In body dispatches, spatial reclamation practices, and testimonial witness, I explore the multi-layered inequities that spark creation amidst cultural and policy contradictions, as underrepresented community members mobilize change.Doctor of Philosoph
