Mental illness in prisons: true diagnosis or social control?
The poster (presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Mental Health Research Network 2013) questions the validity of certain mental health diagnoses within forensic settings
Nordic Himalaya Research Network (NHRN) First Inaugural Meeting
On May 7, 2018, the inaugural meeting for the newly established Nordic Himalaya Research Network was held at the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies at the University of Copenhagen
Proceedings of the 2nd Iberian Nuclear Astrophysics Meeting on Compact Stars
This volume contains most of the links to the presentations delivered at this
international workshop. This meeting was the second in the series following the
previous I Encuentro Ib\'erico de Compstar, held at the University of Coimbra,
Portugal in 2010. The main purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the
scientific collaboration between the participants of the Iberian and the rest
of the southern European branches of the European Nuclear Astrophysics network,
formerly, COMPSTAR. This ESF (European Science Foundation) supported network
has been crucial in helping to make a broader audience for the the most
interesting and relevant research lines being developed currently in Nuclear
Astrophysics, especially related to the physics of neutron stars. The program
of the meeting was tailored to theoretical descriptions of the physics of
neutron stars although some input from experimental observers and other
condensed matter and optics areas of interest was also included.Comment: Journal of Physics: Conference Series Volume 342 (2012), Proceedings

Self-Organizing Innovation Networks: When do Small Worlds Emerge?
In this paper, we present a model of 'collective innovation' built upon the network formation formalism. In our model, agents localized on a circle benefit from knowledge flows from other agents with whom they are directly or indirectly connected. They support costs for direct connections which are linearly increasing with geographic distance. The dynamic process of network formation exhibits prefeRential meeting for close agents (in the relational network and in the geographic metrics). We show how the set of stochastically stable networks selected in the long run is affected by the degree of knowledge transferability. We find critical values of this parameter for which stable \"small world\" networks are dynamically selected.Network Formation, Stochastic Stability, Preferential Meeting, Self-Organization,
Addressee Identification In Face-to-Face Meetings
We present results on addressee identification in four-participants face-to-face meetings using Bayesian Network and Naive Bayes classifiers. First, we investigate how well the addressee of a dialogue act can be predicted based on gaze, utterance and conversational context features. Then, we explore whether information about meeting context can aid classifiersâ performances. Both classifiers perform the best when conversational context and utterance features are combined with speakerâs gaze information. The classifiers show little gain from information about meeting context
Report of the Third Workshop on the Usage of NetFlow/IPFIX in Network Management
The Network Management Research Group (NMRG) organized in 2010 the Third Workshop on the Usage of NetFlow/IPFIX in Network Management, as part of the 78th IETF Meeting in Maastricht. Yearly organized since 2007, the workshop is an opportunity for people from both academia and industry to discuss the latest developments of the protocol, possibilities for new applications, and practical experiences. This report summarizes the presentations and the main conclusions of the workshop
