When selecting sites for the industry’s leading data centers, experts and IT leaders such as Google and Microsoft, are increasingly choosing Iowa They’re doing so because they understand that Iowa is a safe zone for data and information storage — tucked away from the major threats and terrorist targets in the U.S. What’s more, there are many infrastructural and financial benefits that only Iowa offers. With all this activity, available research and Iowa’s inherent advantages, it seems the question isn't so much why Iowa, but why not

Rencana kerja ini mencakup beberapa aspek a.l.

Nowadays, retail must run multichannel store to increase its revenue and satisfy the customer. Besides the physical store, they also need an online store to accommodate the customer who chooses Internet as their way to shop. X Store, as the biggest bookstore in Indonesia, realized about this trend and since 2002 they built their online shop, it is named X Online. This research has an objection to give suggestions for factors that influence the customer buying interest, based on a statistical test series. It will help the X Online to do some effective ways and win the competition. We did the descriptive analysis to check the respondent demography and customer score for each variable, for satisfaction and importance factors with Likert scale from 1 to 5. To see the relationship between customer demography and the variables, we used the Crosstab analysis. Followed by Manova test to see the difference between satisfaction and importance level, then the last was Quadrant analysis, to find which factors are weak, so X Online must focus on it. The result showed that the customer felt satisfied for on time delivery. Crosstab analysis showed there was a relationship between X Store customer and X Online customer. They who have ever shopped at X Store with the minimum frequency once a month, also shopped at X Online. From Quadrant analysis, we knew that the strengths of X Online were collected, wide range delivery, guarantee, on time delivery, book condition, and data security. The weaknesses were product availability, price and discount, simplicity and order procedure

Different Haematological Condition, Immune System and Comfort of Muscovy Duck and Local Duck Reared in Dry and Wet Seasons

Muscovy and local duck belong to Indonesian local waterfowl a meat and egg production purpose, whose physiological condition is strongly affected by genetic and environmental factors in which physiological condition determines duck productivity. Due to the global climate change including in Indonesia this study is important. This research aimed to study the different haematological condition, immune system and comfort of muscovy and local duck reared in dry and wet seasons. 128 muscovy and local ducks of one-day old of male and female were involved in this study with Completely Randomized Factorial Design (2x2x2). Two factors : breed of ducks (muscovy and local), sex (male and female) and season (dry and wet). The variables included the amount of erythrocyte, leukocyte, differential leukocyte, heterophile-lymphocyte ratio, hemoglobin level, hematocrit value, and total plasma protein. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance followed by Duncan test for any different treatment shown in the variables. The result showed that interaction among the duck order, sex and seasons significantly influenced the heamatological condition and welfare of the ducks. Muscovy duck and local duck reared in wet season had a higher haematological status than those of dry season. Leukocyte amount was higher in Muscovy duck than local duck, while Muscovy duck had a lower heterophile-lymphocyte ratio than that of local duck. In conclusion, haematological condition in wet season and dry season was different, the most influential immune system was heterophile and Muscovy duck and local duck were more in comfort in wet season

Model based collaborative design & optimization of blended wing body aircraft configuration: AGILE EU project

    Get PDF
Novel configuration design choices may help achieve revolutionary goals for reducing fuel burn, emission and noise, set by Flightpath 2050. One such advance configuration is a blended wing body. Due to multi-diciplinary nature of the configuration, several partners with disciplinary expertise collaborate in a Model driven ‘AGILE MDAO framework’ to design and evaluate the novel configuration. The objective of this research are : - To create and test a model based collaborative framework using AGILE Paradigm for novel configuration design & optimization, involving large multinational team. Reduce setup time for complex MDO problem. - Through Multi fidelity design space exploration, evaluate aerodynamic performance - The BWB disciplinary analysis models such as aerodynamics, propulsion, onboard systems, S&C were integrated and intermediate results are published in this report

Teaching Sciences in Virtual Worlds with Mastery Learning: A Case of Study in Elementary School

Virtual worlds are 3D environments that provide a feeling of immersion and a high degree of interaction, collaboration, communication between users. Its applicability can be focused on the educational scope, in which theories can be integrated as the basis to didactic activities carried out in the 3D environment, being its area of interdisciplinary comprehension. In this context, this article presents the use of a Virtual World built to assist in the teaching of Science for students of the middle school, whose articulation of the activities performed in the course are based on the precepts of the educational theory Mastery Learning. Tests were carried out in the subject of science, being divided into two periods with different groups for comparative purposes and realized evaluations during the period of the experiments. Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney non-parametric test were applied to the results of the assessments to ascertain the performance of each group. It was verified in the general analyzis that the participants who used the Virtual World had a growing performance, with high medians and adequate distribution of the results, being predominant of a smaller variability and amplitude. Thus, was possible to conclude that the results obtained with the approach were positive, which led to the validation of this research and presented a clear contribution to the academic environment
