Mock modular forms as -adic modular forms
In this paper, we consider the question of correcting mock modular forms in
order to obtain -adic modular forms. In certain cases we show that a mock
modular form is a -adic modular form. Furthermore, we prove that
otherwise the unique correction of is intimately related to the shadow of

Lifting of Modular Forms
The existence and construction of vector-valued modular forms (vvmf) for any
arbitrary Fuchsian group , for any representation of finite image can be established
by lifting scalar-valued modular forms of the finite index subgroup
of . In this article vvmf are explicitly constructed for any
admissible multiplier (representation) , see Section 3 for the definition
of admissible multiplier. In other words, the following question has been
partially answered: For which representations of a given ,
is there a vvmf with at least one nonzero component ?Comment: 15 page
Slopes of modular forms
We survey the progress (or lack thereof!) that has been made on some
questions about the p-adic slopes of modular forms that were raised by the
first author in [Buz05], discuss strategies for making further progress, and
examine other related questions.Comment: Final published version (to appear in Proceedings of the 2014 Simons
