Development of an Input Form to Capture Author-Generated Metadata for a Botanical Image Collection

This project describes the creation of a form for the purpose of capturing authorgenerated metadata and allowing individuals to submit botanical images to the UNC Plant Information Center (PIC). A study of current metadata forms was conducted and based on these forms, a prototype of a form was created. A small-scale usability study was conducted with the PIC Advisory Committee and the feedback was utilized to enhance the template. Proposed future considerations and development suggestions are provided
